A primo camping spot in some seriously prime real estate! Camp here for a small fee and be really close to town, this is a very popular place for people to stay at and you can see why when you arrive here.
Wanaka is a great place for pretty much anything, there is mountain biking just down the road that follows the banks of the Clutha River, heaps of walking - Mt Iron is a goody for a great view, and of course anything regarding watersports.

Great site not far out of Wanaka.
Pulled up right by the river so woke up to lovely views and sounds. Toilets etc are fine. Cute ducks hanging around. Would definitely recommend.

This is a large paddock under trees, on a river. Picturesque campsite, but costs $10 per person per night. Council managed. Overpriced considering 3 of the 4 flushing toilets didn't work and were blocked up. 10 minutes out of Wanaka, so not a bad alternative to more expensive places in town.

Stayed here late August. Beautiful location. Slight noise from the road but you get used to it. Would recommend.

Expensive for parking right off the road. Bathrooms are gross. Park ranger WILL wake you up in the morning. Just spend another $10 and go to a holiday park where you can actually enjoy yourself. If you're alone, it would be around the same price for a holiday park.

Good, simple campsite to stay overnight when in the wanaka area. Lots of places to park. We stayed here 2 different nights as was so close to wanaka.

Huge open area, tons of spots available for camping and campervans. Fairly protected from the wind. Lots of toilets available however of the ones that were supposed to flush the majority did not work. Water supply is clean but not treated (not drinking water). $10pp per night.

Great spot to stop on the way to or from Wanaka. Large place with plenty of room. Busy though, so toilets got pretty dirty. Lovely river view.
