A primo camping spot in some seriously prime real estate! Camp here for a small fee and be really close to town, this is a very popular place for people to stay at and you can see why when you arrive here.
Wanaka is a great place for pretty much anything, there is mountain biking just down the road that follows the banks of the Clutha River, heaps of walking - Mt Iron is a goody for a great view, and of course anything regarding watersports.

Great spot by the river. Plenty of space. Close to join the bike trails thg o Lake Hawea or Wanaka. Need to be self sufficient. Good patisserie in Albert Town.
Is actually 10 a person a day. No hand soap, or hand sanitizer.... kinda gross while the world is in a pandemic. No drinking water. Dissatisfied honestly.
Spent a fair few nights here, a bargain at $10.
Flushing Toilets were clean. Site gets pretty dry and dusty and windy in the evenings but great location by the river. A big site still with ample room over Xmas and new year's. Security check payment etc in a caravan over this period. It's $7 on the other side of the road but no sink or flushing toilets but much the same vibe.
Great spot next to the weather
Can be quite peaceful on nights when it’s not busy
Amazing campsite. My favourite of my journey so far! Clean toilets, running water with sinks. Only $10 per person per night. A lot of space so you don’t feel like you’re right next to other campers.
Bit of a dusty ugly site. Toilets pretty grubby and not sure how often they're cleaned. Mind you it's cheap enough at 10 bucks a night. Look like a few dodgy long termers have made it home though
Stayed 1 night, nice and quiet. It’s literally a park on the outskirts of Wanaka, but for $10per adult it’s much cheaper than holiday parks in Wanaka (albeit not a powered site)
Nice campsite, the non powered sites has better location.
Facilities a bit old but free warm shower
