A primo camping spot in some seriously prime real estate! Camp here for a small fee and be really close to town, this is a very popular place for people to stay at and you can see why when you arrive here.
Wanaka is a great place for pretty much anything, there is mountain biking just down the road that follows the banks of the Clutha River, heaps of walking - Mt Iron is a goody for a great view, and of course anything regarding watersports.

Stayed 1 night, nice and quiet. It’s literally a park on the outskirts of Wanaka, but for $10per adult it’s much cheaper than holiday parks in Wanaka (albeit not a powered site)
Save up to 70% on campsite fees! Support conservation and experience the natural beauty of NZ. 78 Department of Conservation campsites, one convenient pass.
Nice campsite, the non powered sites has better location.
Facilities a bit old but free warm shower

Location: fine location but not special
Insects: a few moths, al lot of rabbits and ducks, the are noise but harmless
Wc’s: the are okay but the people can make a mess of it...
Douche: no shower. There is a creek with a strong current.
Very peaceful and nice environment. You can pay also with the credit card!!
Beautiful shady spot by a gorgeous river, complete with friendly ducks. Lovely walking/bike track along river nearby. Great for campervans and tents, fee is per person, so no extra charge if you have both campervan and tent. Quiet and no fuss camping, with proper flushing toilets and outdoor sinks. So glad we found it.
$10 per person to go in. Lots of spaces even by the river when we arrived around 9pm. Good view of the river, have different spots to se preste families and travellers so not that noisy. Even if it’s by the river there aren’t many sandflies
10 bucks a night per person, pretty much a freedom camp you have to pay for. Super busy with young locals, everyone was pretty tame after 9:30 though! Nice view of river too
Very spacious! No worries about finding a spot here. About 15 minutes from Wanaka. Toilets are pretty basic
