The view of the lake is amazing. The facilities are very clean and odorless. Good phone signal. The road to the campsite is a bit dangerous because there is no turning lane, so cars drive past you at 100km/h.

Lots of grassy areas. It was written that after rain it can be dangerous to stay because the stream is very close. The facilities are very clean. There is a grill. No phone signal. We felt safe here. It is a free campsite with the possibility of donation.

Best option if you have a DOC pass and don't want to pay for expensive campsites. We spent two nights here and each time we arrived in the evening and a place was available. Two dry toilets. Good phone signal. The only cons was a lot of sandflies.

You reserve a spot for a given number and arrive at a spot where there are no numbers. The last 10 km is a gravel road but in good condition. The toilets are very clean. You can wash your dishes in the sink. There is a phone signal but it sometimes drops out. There is a lot of wildlife at night so you can hear some sounds.

We spent two nights here when it was raining and had no problem driving away. They only accept online bookings, you can't make a reservation on site like in some other DOC campsites.

There are plenty of parking spaces. You can park either at lake number 1 or lake number 2. There is a 15km gravel road to the lake, but it is in good condition. It was very windy here. The toilets are clean.

Very quiet place. There is plenty of parking. Even in this season it fills up very quickly. The parking is in a cascade and the phone signal is only at the highest point. This is at the cost of it being a bit windier than when you are standing lower. The toilets are very clean.

Lots of grass. We were afraid that there would be a problem with the departure after the rain, but you have to be a little clever and find a less wet area. There are also a few gravel spots. Clean toilets. Kitchen available without equipment. No signal, but there is free wifi at the shop at the entrance to the campsite.

There is no view of the mountains or the sea, but they take good care of it. I think there are over 30 parking spaces. Toilets very clean. Possibility to wash dishes and refill drinking water. Nearby cafe, shop and dump station.Possibility to use hot showers nearby. In winter you need to borrow a key from a local shop for a $20 deposit. And you can go to a nearby swimming pool to use the showers.
