Loads of space and respectful neighbours.
Arrived around 4pm and there were 5 campers already parked up. A few tents too. 3-5 minute walk to a stunning beach, worth an early morning for the sunrise!

Curio Bay Camping Ground
Location location location!
What a stunning spot. No wildlife for us but watching the waves was wonderful and porpoise bay was beautiful. Kids loved the rock pools. The powered sites were very sheltered and private with hedges either side which we needed because the wind gusts were huge. Curioscape has closed sadly but they leave you a map and directions to your site at the front door of what used to be the cafe if you prebook so no trouble finding your way around.

Balclutha Motor Camp
Lovely little camp - owner was great!
Suggested the park next door with a playground for the kids but sadly the weather wasn’t playing ball so we opted for the local pools instead and they were wonderful! Happy kids and relaxed parents. Nice strong, hot showers and everything else you could need.
