Balclutha Motor Camp
At Balclutha Motor Camp we offer friendly southern hospitality.
Balclutha is the centre of South Otago, has a full range of services and is the gateway to the Catlins Coast and Southern Scenic Route.
We offer affordable, comfortable accommodation with a choice of Cabin, Motorhome Site, Caravan Site and Tent Site. Our sites cater for all shapes and sizes.
There is safe off-street parking and it is a short stroll down to the town centre, supermarket, hospital and swimming pool. We are within 5-minutes drive of the golf course, bowling club, arts centre and gym.
We cater for domestic and overseas travellers, fishermen, holiday groups, family groups and school groups.

Denis ist ein super Gastgeber hatte viele Tipps die Catlands zu erkunden. Wir sind dann gleich noch etwas länger geblieben und möchten herzlich Danke sagen. Love greatings from Rudi and Conny

Fully equipped kitchen, free, hot showers, one even with a little basin to bath the kids.
Everything is in great shape and Denis is a super friendly guy.

Denis is the owner, probably one of the best people you’ll have the experience meeting in nz!
$36 for an unpowered site, $39.50 for powered. we arrived after business hours and he said no worries, came down to the camp and got us a site. 10:30 check out but he is not strict if you leave later.
Great showers, kitchen etc. few long term stayers, but friendly people. Denis is great with recommendations of what to do while in the South Island.
10/10!

10/10 for the hospitality - The host is absolutely wonderful and gives great advice on timing and locations for spotting penguins.
10/10 for the showers!! Strong, powerful and warm!!

Nice place to stay. Affordable prices, we paid $36 for 2 people non-powered site.
Amenities are in good condition, 1GB internet free, and check out is 10:30am!

Lovely place to stay when driving to/from Dunedin.
The kitchen is very homely, there is a good laundromat, great wifi, all facilities are very clean and the hosts are the kindest of people.

We had a few problems with our vehicle and he was very helpful and managed to get us back on the road again. Very clean and tidy place.

This campground has a kitchen like a real home would have.
The residents are friendly and the owner is interesting to talk too. The campground is well maintained and in excellent condition.

Some the facilities may be a little older but they are immaculately maintained.
Denis is the friendliest most welcoming camp ground owner it has been my pleasure to meet. I would give him 12 out of 10. He went out of his way for us as it would appear he does for everyone. Quite and relaxed

Flat site $44 powered site for 2 adults.
Good hot showers. Ladies shower very powerful. Short walk to town. Owner was helpful and suggested our route for the next day.

Fantastic wee camp ground with VERY friendly staff.
Water pressure and temperature is superb! Bath for the kids was also VERY handy. Kitchen is stocked with everything. Definitely recommend.

Lounge area is clean and warm - a plus in winter !
Quiet and orderly park, showers hot and free. Has a laundromat which is handy.
