Had booked a couple of nights here but ended up not staying (though not entirely the sites fault on that).
Site is a good space. Long drops weren't the cleanest I've seen but not bad. Water supply but not treated. When we were there was a loud group of campers (but could otherwise see how it's normally very peaceful). Fair few flies about too and no phone signal. Gravel track is ok but quite bad washboard in places and a fairly steep rocky stream bed (dry) to cross just before the camp. We were heading out late at night and couldn't face doing the road in the dark so ended up staying at another site instead.

Beautiful campsite.
Loads of space. Amazing views over the lake. Basic but decent enough facilities. Great site, would recommend.

Beautiful spot down the river (great for a dip).
Plenty of shaded spots about. A few bugs but not too bad. Decent facilities with a good hot shower ($4.5 for 7/8 minutes). Overall good site
Thanks Sol!

Amazing campsite.
Facilities are perfect. Very good (free) hot showers. All really clean and well maintained. Easy access to washing and dump facilities. Lovely peaceful location with loads of space at the berths. Really easy short work into Kiateriteri. Definitely recommend

Beautiful spot with a good amount of space.
Decent enough facilities with (cold) showers. Loads of cheeky Weka so watch your stuff. Right next to amazing beach (inc. little reef shark)
The gravel track is decent but very very dusty when dry so make sure everything is well sealed up

Definitely worth a stay.
The facilities are top notch. Amazing hot showers and loads of them. The kitchen facilities are great with plenty of space and a good view. Great wee balcony to sit out on for drinks, with lounge and games room below. Located right on the lake too for a walk. Pricey but definitely worth the cost

Fantastic campsite - definitely stay here.
I don't know if some of the older reviews are before it was updated or just for the wrong place but they paint the wrong picture. The views are stunning. The facilities are top class! There's no flies. The road noise is so minimal it's not worth mentioning. The berths have loadddsss of space. The shop attached is great and does excellent ice cream. I don't know if I've missed something with previous reviews, but this is the best site we have stayed at in our 3 weeks travelling so far so I would be inclined to ignore them... Definitely worth a stay!

Great spot to camp with views of the lake.
Great location for exploring around. Was VERY busy when we were there but even then were able to find a space fairly easily. Worth noting it's fairly exposed to the wind. Clean long drop toilets. No water supply. Great free spot to stay but just come prepared as limited supplies.

View at the campsite are absolutely fantastic.
Fields of lupins by the river on one side and snow capped hills directly opposite. Loads of space even when it's busy. A few flies but not really a bother.
Otherwise facilities are fairly basic, (clean enough) long drop toilets but no facilities to wash up or shower.
100% worth a stay but come prepared.

Great place to stay.
Quaint and interesting site. Loads of space to park up even when busy and able to get a good scenic site. Decent cooking area and nice space for sitting down to eat inside and out. Mens showers and toilet were great, very clean and spacious with a hot shower (womens showers weren't as clean or spacious). Very short walk over to the lakeside. Would definitely stay again

We stayed here on Christmas day and it felt like the perfect spot for it.
The facilities are great, good spacious kitchen with loads of seating space. Covered outdoor seating with a roaring log fire was definitely a bonus. Good hot showers and loads of space at the site itself. 10/10 would definitely recommend

Handy spot to be close to Wanaka.
Road noise wasn't really a bother (it's not bad). No flies at all which was a delight. Clean decent toilets. Some wash stations and good bins but no clean water. Definitely a decent spot to stay for $12pp

Really lovely location.
The views are amazing and right next to the lake for a little paddle. Amazingly very few flies which was a mercy. Facilities are very limited though with untreated water and currently some pretty smelly porta loos as the toilets are closed. Up a fairly long gravel road. Relatively well maintained though is fairly narrow around some of the many cattle grids so wouldn't want to come up it with anything too wide.

Limited facilities (we couldn't find any) and a pretty cramped spot (is free tbf).
Also quite a lot of flies about. Nice to listen to the waves breaking as you go to sleep though.

Really recommend staying here!
$20pp unpowered was really good for what you get. A lovely spot in the rainforest. Very good location. Fairly cosy with other vans but with all the ferns about it feels quite secluded. Really decent facilities and a good set up.

Good free site.
Decent toilet and shower facilities. Nice spot. Decent bit out of town and got pretty busy in the early afternoon (loads of people had to leave and ended up pretty crowded and loud).

Decent spot but expensive for what you get.
Paid $85 unpowered for one night. Location is very handy into Queenstown. The facilities are good with nice hot showers and clean toilets. Good facilities for washing up and has filtered water. The sites are right on top of each other (it makes sense why the required you to have curtains or you may as well have been sitting in next doors camper lol). In all it's a decent site in a good location, just expensive and cramped.

Location is great and very handy off the side of the highway.
Relatively limited facilities though and a lot of flies about. Did the job for a stop over on the way south.
