Beautiful, peaceful spot down a well maintained gravel road.
Small stream crossing which most cars should manage no problem. Cold running water needs boiling before use, clean long drop toilets, several picnic benches and fire pits dotted around. I was tent camping alone with only one other person parked up but felt very safe. A couple of nice little walks and a cute stream, lots of space. No mobile signal once on the gravel road.

Lovely secluded grassy spot with a chorus of birds to entertain.
A little difficulty finding it. Go down Gudex until you get to crossroad mark just at Middle Rd which is probably the coordinates listed here and follow yellow arrow onto the gravel road to the right. If you see the church on the left you've gone too far. Watch the creek crossings in rainy spring weather.

Lovely wee grassy spot surrounded by trees and a stream.
Few short walks nearby. 2x longdrops and a water tap. The "long gravel road" described by others turned out to be only 2km, takes absolute max 10min to drive! The last 500m or so it is quite narrow so could be awkward for large campers if you had to pass another vehicle, but otherwise should be ok. Dog friendly, yay!

Great spot.
Spent 2 nights here, plenty of space and being able to have the dog and light a fire made it even better. Basic facilities and long drop toilets but clean enough.

Wonderful find.
A fairly long gravel road to get there. Thought we might have wrong track. Many shady areas to choose from. The toilets were rather smelly. One central tap area to wash hands otherwise need to be self contained. Peaceful and relaxing. Wonderful birds heard and seen.

Long drop toilets but clean, can light a fire in the evening and a real nice bush walk.

Dirty, smelly toilets.
Many campervans. Access to campsite via long gravel track. Why did we pay for that? For being allowed to make a bonfire in the woods? No thank you!

The worst campsite that we used all of our time in NZ.
The road there was terrible, gravel is fine; but there was a stream with boulders the size of your head that needed crossing before getting to the campsite. No running water and smelly long drop toilets.

I loved this campsite.
I was there beginning of December and it was so quiet. Picnic tables and fires places available. The toilets smell bad but they were clean and there was toilet paper. There are also some hikes to do from the campsite. It's a 20 minute drive offroad. $8 per person.

Really nice place with a lot of trees.
A tap and 2 toilets (very smelly!). Quite far from the road so it is really quiet. $32 for 4 people. Some sandflies and mosquitoes.

Such a nice little campsite in a quiet meadow surrounded by forest.
It has couple of picnic tables, campfire pits and a toilet (with toilet paper!). Quite far off the road, but this only made it more peaceful.
