Black Water Rafting Labyrinth Tour
Yay, three thumbs up!
Did the Black Abyss which was just an awesome trip. A bit eerie (in a cool way) floating through the darkness. Our guide was really nice and the wetsuits and changing facilities are all top. And nothing beats that soup and bagels at the end!

Newmans Coach Lines
Very good trip from Taupo to Napier.
I am glad I chose Newmans because the driver does a commentary and the coaches are more comfortable, unlike Naked Bus or Intercity.

InterCity Coachlines
I went from Napier to Wellington on InterCity.
It was not bad, but not as good as Newmans. The bus was clean and comfy though and it was on time. Cheap too, which helps!

Kelly Tarlton's Antarctic Encounter and Underwater World
Not really worth it in my opinion.
There are better aquariums out there, and the penguin ride is a bit useless, the penguins are too far away. Seems it is mostly just a place for bored mums to take noisy kids to on rainy days.

I took the bus out which was quite convenient but the day was not so great - cold and cloudy.
Would have been nice to do this on a better day perhaps.

Great Sights Scenic Bus Tours
I did the morning sightseeing trip.
The old man tour guide Don was so funny. The view from Mt Eden was amazing, and I learned so much about the city.

Milford Sound Day Cruises
This was disappointing because I was looking forward to this as the highlight of my trip.
It seemed very rushed the whole day and the cruise was full of asian tour groups. The commentary was in two or three different languages and it was hard to get a good view. I wished I had gone on a different company.

The Backyard Inn
I stayed at the Kiwi Paka in Waitomo (havent been to the one in Waitomo).
Stayed in one of their chalets. They are not five star luxury but then you are not paying five star prices either. If you are looking for a cheap, clean, great place to stay you wont go wrong here. The pizza in the cafe is yum, and the pub is only a short walk away.

Naked Bus
Urgh, never again.
They say on their website they go to all these places but they actually dont. Rudest driver ever on my trip to Taupo, and the bus broke down twice!
