You can buy some carved bone jewelry or you can have a great time making your own treasure.
We enjoyed meeting new people and learning how to carve bone. No previous experience necessary. Best of all, when we got home we got to show our friends the beautiful jewelry we made!

What a great time!
As two people with a fear of heights, we found the balloon just floating was tranquil and relaxing. When you sign up you become part of the crew, so expect to help set up and repack the balloon. Martyn our pilot/guide was fantastic and made our balloon ride extra enjoyable. Paul was waiting at our landing with champagne breakfast.

Great place to see the penguins coming in from the sea.
We were there around 8 P.M. and saw about half a dozen of them come in. Nice blind to watch from. The trail is a little on the steep side.

The people are very friendly. Good food and plenty of it. My wife suggest a snack before you go as the meal was served at about 9 P.M.

The toilets and showers were very clean, but use them before dark as there are no lights. Still a very nice place to camp.

Very pretty lake.
Lots of birds. Don't expect to plug in. No one there seemed to be aware of any powered sites in the park. Still a nice place to park and the location fit well in our travel plans.

First impressions are lasting impressions.
Kenrick exemplified the friendliness and hospitality of the NZ people. From the first enquiry to dropping the campervan off when returning home, Kenrick made every step a pleasant experience. The campervan was in excellent condition and performed beautifully on our entire trip. The best thing we can say is that we would rent from Kenrick again.

It's all about where you dig!
We dug a hole and got no hot water. Five feet away there was water too hot to touch. Bring a shovel. The beach was a little crowded.
