Great free park - thank you Feilding. Obviously popular with caravaning/ motor home people but lots of places to park, near the river, or looking over a field. Fairly private, some trees. Good flush toilets close to the Campbell St entrance. Great spot if passing through.

Beautiful spot to park up for a night or two. Lots of trees for shade and plenty of space. There are public toilets at the Campbell St end and also a dump station which was an added bonus. Great spot.

Lovely park to camp up at. Lots of space and toilets available 24/7. Also lots of rubbish bins around the park so please do not leave litter. Dump station and potable water on entry to the park. No complaints at all.

Nice place to sleep, I came here after feeling unsafe in the free campsite in Palmerston North. This one had more people and there’s plenty of space even 24h toilets pretty clean.
Each camping location is approved by a regional council in NZ. So if it shows on the map, you’re allowed to stay.

Really pretty park, toilets are far away unless you park in the carpark, as opposed to under the trees. Good spot for a one night stop.

Great free one. Fantastic playground for the small ones and next to it three public toilets.
Very quiet and lot off space.

Plenty of space for motor homes large and small..either beside the river or the playing fields. Clean toilets and dump station. Patrolled..one entrance secured at dusk. Dog friendly. Kid friendly..nice play area.

Beautiful, plenty of flat spaces to park even big enough for our bus. Also has duplicates station, hose for fresh water has holes so cant use. Lovely spot will park there again.

Amazing large flat sites between soccer fields and the river, under trees and separated by bushes. A block of clean and modern unisex toilets is walking distance across the field. There's a kid's playground at one end. Parkland extends along the river and is used for rugby, dog obedience, pony club, and a riding club but when we arrived only a few joggers and dog owners were there. By the morning there were a dozen motorhomes there, but there's plenty of space.

Nice quiet place between sports grounds and river. Clean toilet near entrance. Plenty of clean parking on the grass between the trees with good privacy. Locals friendly.

We stayed in the car park beside some trees and it was nice. Very quiet and secluded.

We love stopping over here. Never have anyone right beside us, it's peaceful and sheltered. We have stayed at all times of year and seasons and would highly recommend.

Doesn't feel like you are in town. Lots of 'travellers' around with their amazing caravans. Parked near toilets at the entrance but near the dog training centre so alot of barking until they had all gone. Also loads of dog walkers in the park. Otherwise a nice quiet spot.
