Lots of space for big and small vehicles.
Toilets were clean and water fountain was handy. Close to walk into town and see the sights. CSC officer was lovely and explained the rules of Self Containment parking (can be anywhere you want, unless specifically stating no camping). Lots of very bad drivers in this town, they do not understand how to release the clutch so end up revving and squeeling tyers far too much making this spot quite loud up till about 10pm when it is their bed time. Safe and OK for 1 night but not very scenic, just a city vibe.

Beach was lovely and great spot for a view but a few cars in the carpark were smashed up and missing rego plates so I didn't think it was saft to stay.
Many youths living in their cars here...sad state of affairs but overall not the freedom camping experience I was looking for so moved along.

Lovely forest area, peaceful and toilets at the end.
Many wee sports to pull in and park up along the gravel road. After heavy rains be mindful where you park as some areas would only be suitable for a 4wd. Not alot of cell reception off SH5 but decent for getting away from everything for a night or 2.

Lovely isolated spot to park right next to the waterfall.
Toilets are open all night and rubbish bins supplied. Not much cellphone reception here but it was nice to take that break. Great white water rafting at Kaituna rafting also, well worth checking them out!

Beautiful spot.
Bins and bathroom supplied, outdoor shower was alot warmer than I was expecting for the winter! Stunning sunsets and so many birds. Water either side. Would love to come back next time I am on the coast.

Pretty decent for a free spot.
Toilets with soap and toilet paper, warm showers and plenty of rubbish bins. Not alot to do in the area, but ideal for a paddle, jet ski or a boat, nice walk to the waterfall nearby.

Nice looking spot.
Lovely temperature but very slimy. Left of the stairs as Thomas mentioned was hotter on the floor. People use this pool as a bath to wash in which I find a little bit awkward but this could be a cultural thing. Revitalising none the less but would reccomend mapping out a shower for when you are finished.

Handy location to park while in Rotorua.
Toilets not open all night but not a big deal. Strong sulpher smell at times but this is what Rotorua is known for. Pretty hit and miss with the people you will encounter here. Drugs and homelessness seem to be a problem and this spot has a lot of drinkers loitering/living here which can be intimidating. Great set up to separate rubbish and recycling.

Great location and stunning sunsets and sunrise.
Easy to get to Eat Streat and the main part of town. Pretty hit and miss with the people you will encounter here but overall a nice place to park for a night or 2 while in Rotorua.

Beautiful location right by the ferry and airport.
Perfect to stay in Wellington for a few nights. Clean toilets and dump station.

Beautiful spot along the river.
Not the flattest of grounds to park up on but you can find some flattish spots. Toilets were clean. Attracts the drinkers so can be social if travelling alone, or a bit noisy of you are after a peaceful night. Great place to swim in summer but make sure you get out of the water when you get to the rope swing as not many tourists survive the huka falls drop

Lovely spot alongside the river.
Wouldn't stay longer than one night but it was a good stop off during a long trip. No amenities but to be expected. Would stop again if doing a long trip but there are nicer and more social spots a bit further north of here.

A very nice spot on the coast with stunning views.
Short walk to the bathrooms. Beautiful sunsets and not bad for a cheeky surf on a good day.

Beautiful spot right on the beach front.
No facilities, but this is nature at its finest! If you are not self contained, do not stay here. This is a gem of a location and we need to keep it (don't poo on the beach!)

Great spot.
Beautiful lake side view with fresh running water in the toilets. Plenty of parking and rubbish bins available so please don't leave litter.

Lovely park to camp up at.
Lots of space and toilets available 24/7. Also lots of rubbish bins around the park so please do not leave litter. Dump station and potable water on entry to the park. No complaints at all.

Big park with lots of spaces to park.
Toilets are available but not always clean. Trash bins around the park and park benches to sit and have food or a cup of tea. Can be noisy on the main street side of the park but closer to the skate park is alot more quiet. Not a bad spot for a night or 2 if in Palmerston North.

Open car parking lot, no facilities.
Perfect location if you are stopping for a quick visit. Can be a bit awkward waking up as people are parking next to you to start work, but everyone is friendly and there were no issues.

Personally, I didn't have a very good experience with the staff I found them very rude and a wee bit arrogant.
Class view from the camp site though!
We thank you for your feedback, and do our best to take appropriate action in order to improve. There has been a major change over of staff just recently, which we believe will address the issue you raised.
Yours,
Richard
