A little over crowded. Kitchen had some utensils and pans. Used the showers and washer/dryers. Easy walk down into town but all uphill on the way back!
Stayed 2 nights. They have dump station and potable water. Not all water on Akoroa is potable (especially on the east side) and we were told anyone can fill up at the camp sites even if they are not staying there.

Rate 10 just for position of campsite. Set on a sunny hillside with stunning views. Wooded walkway 10mins on steep hill to beautiful town (longer uphill walk home 😅)
Shower and toilet facilities dated but functional with lovely hot free showers.
Swimming pool a bonus although didn’t use, looked good.
Well kept site with lovely grassy pitches, no dust or gravel.
Only stayed one night. Wish we had time to stay longer. Definitely recommend!!

Dated but clean facilities. Great view of the bay as the holiday park is on a hill. All the usual amenities provided at holiday parks.

We stayed only one night but the place is beautifully located on top of the hill with a great view of akaroa and the lake. Clean and nice I'd recommend.

Quite old facilities. nice playground. Ladies shower area wasn’t too clean but think wasn’t the fault of the management. Simply too many people.

Good facilities but the only real option in Akaroa. The elevated position has the benefit of a cool breeze and nice views but just too far out of town to class as local. The steep hill to the site by road or the shortcut footpath involves over 120 steps so beware if you’re not after a work out after a few drinks. All the typical mod cons for a Top 10 site, main downfall the Hill.
