Not quite sure why previous reviews are so positive. This seems like literally just a car park in a retail estate. Limited spaces so there was nowhere for us to camp anyway. I-Site In morningside far nicer and more space :)
Save up to 70% on campsite fees! Support conservation and experience the natural beauty of NZ. 78 Department of Conservation campsites, one convenient pass.
Scored last place of I believe 6 spots in a huge car park. Next to the road over the bridge so a bit noisy. Clean toilets nearby.
Can't believe the council is so stingy with freecamp spots around here. The whole car park was empty but only a few spots for campervans.

Beautiful spot! It's quiet, the people are nice and the toilets are clean. Additionally, there's free wifi if you're lucky.

24 hour flush toilet, reasonably quiet when close to road. We scored last space at 8pm, winter. 5 min to city, thank the council and stay within the signs.
