Wonderful free camping spot in a calm bay. We even heard Kiwis at night. Amazing bays and beaches around in a 15 min drive.
We give only 9 stars, because the female toilet was blocked.
End of May all 5 spots were occupied.
We can highly reccomend to stay here

We would have loved to stay here but it was already full at 4pm. It’s beautiful but the designated camping spot is really small and the vans were all parked really close together. Nice place to stop for the day though.
Our favorite spot near Whangareu or Tutukaka! Absolutely beautiful spot- quiet, with room for about 5 vans. Lots of locals about paddle boarding and boating until the early evening. Clean flush toilets.
Nice place, nice bay and beach. Tables and banks av ailable.

Lovely spot and Council have revamped the area. Plain to see where to park but reg numbers were taken at night so be aware. It is lovely swimming, boating and has toilets. Enjoy and leave for others to enjoy.
Incredibly beautiful spot. Small area (approx 4/5 vehicles) and clean toilet. Gorgeous small bay and walks along the rocks to other bays at low tide. Parking on grass.
Idyllic green place with toilets and good views. We arrived early and could stay in the designated area. But a lot of people arrived later and stayed off the designated area - without consequences as far as I know.
