Public toilets can be found at the South-West corner of the park.

Big park with lots of spaces to park. Toilets are available but not always clean. Trash bins around the park and park benches to sit and have food or a cup of tea. Can be noisy on the main street side of the park but closer to the skate park is alot more quiet. Not a bad spot for a night or 2 if in Palmerston North.
Each camping location is approved by a regional council in NZ. So if it shows on the map, you’re allowed to stay.

Was ok for one night. Right next to a street and a skate park so it can get noisy. Flush toilets close by. We then went to i-Site to have a shower there for 2$ pp.

Not really nice. Just a street parking next to a busy street with a lot of traffic.

Stayed in August. 2 girls felt a little unsafe/dodgy area arriving late at night (10pm). Only camper around staying on street parking basically, unclear where applied as applicable places to stay.
Toilets only open 8am - 5pm but cleaned daily very clean.
I-site 2 minute drive away amazing facilities $2 private shower for 20 minutes hot water open from 9am. Supermarkets (countdown etc) all close by!
However only free place to stay round there so thanks for providing the option!

It is a carpark next to a big park with very clean public toilets with sink, which are open all night, next to a skate park (on Saturday morning there were basically little kids riding, not teenagers). There are a lot of places and it is very close to what seems the downtown, Rugby Museum, Apprentice Brewery and some big supermarkets like Pak n Save or Countdown. It can be a little noisy but you have a lot of space to move to and avoid it.
