Most amazing clearest water reservoir/spring. Nice easy short walk with breathtaking water. Newly made tracks, unfortunately yet without information along the track and at the main water viewin point. Take polarised sunglasses as they take the glare out of the water and you can see much more and better - awesome, really.

Beside freedom camping area, it was nice to get a swim and hot showers for a small price. A lifeguard gives us free plums and said we can use the showers for free on next morning.

Amazing spot! Sheltered bay for swimming, the beach is beautiful, and great tramps along the Abel Tasman. You can set up an account with a credit card at one of the supermarkets in Takaka and have food(or beer) brought in on the morning bus!

6$ each but hypse of space, trees (for shade), next to the river, with good toilets, no showers but huge picnic shelter with sinks, tables and free barbecues! The place to go if you want to explore Rivendell ;)
