Excellent located site at the beach, facilities are good, just the 2 electric BBQs take very long to get hot.
Nice black beach sand, we saw dolphins 2 times from the beach with binoculars.

Hanmer Springs Forest Camp
Excellent place to stay.
Spacious green site in the forest with many walking tracks nearby. Facillities perfectly clean. Staff warm and welcoming. (Paid) WiFi, we would defintely go back there.

Small good camping site, the closest to downtown (still 6km away).
Facilities are good and very clean. Free wifi! Close to a big road, but the little noise was not really a problem to us.

Good, large camping ground.
Good facilities and they try to spread people so that it's not crowded. 30 minutes free wifi. Works very well for an overnight stop.

Beautifully located camp site.
Showers and wifi are an extra charge. Facilities are good but not the newest. Very popular place so book ahead.

Leith Valley Holiday Park
Small and nice camping site.
Facillities were a bit dated but all fine. TV, pingpong and a pool table to use, paid wifi (250mb = 2$), some trees and a small river at the site.
Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We hope you were able to also view glow worms and the local bush walks which are across the lovely Ross Creek which boarders our park. We hope to see you again in the future.

Quite packed, not much space betweeen campers and not much green, just a basic campsite to us, not much atmosphere but OK for one night.

We liked this calm place, $5 per person a night for an unpowered site for our campervan is a very good price and you get free wifi at the reception as well as free entrance to the gardens.
No shower and kitchen but there was a toilet for campers - you get what you pay for, right? Friendly and helpful staff. About 30 km outside Invercargill.

Very pleasent small waterfall with short walk in beautiful forest only 8 points because of the bad, unsealed road to get there.

One of the best places we have been.
Excellent facilities like free jacuzzi and sauna, good location, very friendly staff, bike hire and the very best internet we had until now (and free AND unlimited!!)

The best and fastest internet we ever got on a camping site, 500mb free. Facilities are very good, nice and friendly staff. Amazing free glowworm night walk just around the corner.

Facilities are ok and clean. No WiFi at all (you can buy data but they warn you that the signal will be very poor)

The most beautiful site we stayed at in New Zealand.
Pure nature at a lovely river. Only $9NZD per person and night. Very basic but clean facillities, staff friendly and helpful.

This site is a parking space in the heart of the city/harbour close to everything.
Shower/toilets are basic but clean. If you plan to stay close to the ferry this place is excellent. However it is quite expensive with $50NZD per site and no wifi. And there of course there is street noise. However I would stay here again.

Very large camping ground, designed for family vacations.
Very good facilities, friendly staff, very expensive ($52 powered, $22 unpowered), no free wifi but a free voucher for 100mb wifi, street noise from the nearby highway, kitchen a bit too small for the amount of people.

Waikite Valley Thermal Pools Campground
This place is awsome because of the very cool thermal pools!
We paid $25 per person per night in a campervan, quite a lot but you can go as much as you want to in the thermal pools :-) staff are very friendly and facilities are good. Only downside is no WiFi at all.

Very good and calm camping place.
Owner was very helpful in giving tips for things to do, very friendly man. Lcated at a small river, free kayaks, kitchen and facilities are very good, WiFi free but limited to 100mb.

Staff are excellent, shower/toilet super clean, WiFi working, big supermarket nearby.
Is close to a bigger road, a bit outside Paihia (15 minute walk).
