The best (and luxury) camping experience ever! Only for 86NZD for 2 nights we had access to a thermal pool with a large movie screen from 8am to 10pm, very clean and well-maintained toilets, well-organized kitchen with lots of electrical plugs, and really good hot showers. Not to mention the always smiling helpful staff. It was an amazing stop over to relax and rewind before driving towards south island.

20Sept18. 2 nights @$55 per night. Expensive but as previously described excellent facilities. The only reason not 10 is we didn’t like the big screen tv at the pool! Oldies for ya!

20Sept18. Quite a bit of change since my review of 4 years ago. More expensive, of course, at nzd55 for 2 of us on powered site.
Facilities just as good. Only downside for us was the large screen TV overlooking the pool.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.

This was such a nice spot, that we decided to stay a second night. The reception was great, they offered us a pick of where to put the campervan since it was empty. There's nice bathrooms, great showers, and a coin-operated laundry with dispensers for soap. The thermal pools were definitely the highlight - they range from warm to hot. There is a large screen playing movies, which you can see from most of the pools. Also a small swim in cave and swim/walk up bar. I was impressed with the bar - they had gluten free food options. I saw what looked like plenty activities for kids. All in all, I could've stayed there a week and been happy.

We thought $92 was expensive for a night for 2 adults and 2 kids however this is the best caravan park we have ever stayed in. So many options for kids to do - they loved the go karts and the bouncy pillows and we all loved getting in the pool while it was 12degrees outside. Staff were really helpful when I had an issue with the dryers and the kitchen and bathroom were absolutely spotless. This encourages people to leave it as they found it.

This was my wife's favorite park because of the heated thermal pool. The swim up bar is a nice touch! Chips were hot and crust and the beer cold and tasty. There is even an outdoor movie screen at the pool for the kids. Good place for families. It was a little noisy during the day due to what sounded like a shooting range nearby. Quiet enough at night.

Stayed here March 20 and 21 2018. Large park 30 minutes from town lake front by walk. Quiet and nice grounds with grass power sites and a large thermo pool about 30c. It has a nice bar grill with burgers and breakfast that you can get from the pool or not. Good hot showers and clean showers and kitchen areas. A little on the high side for a power site fee but you get a lot. Free WiFi that works fast and you can get on line anytime. Pool and extras for the kids if you have them. Good place to stay for a few days to see the area as there is a lot to see. Would stay again.

Generous sized pitches, good facilities, and a wonderful and very warm pool complex - between 32 and 38 degrees when we were there. Swim up bar and massive screen showing movies and sports, though this wasn’t intrusive for people just wanting to enjoy the water. It’s some distance to town and the lake (though a much easier walk going in downhill than coming back uphill!).

Loved this park. It was so much fun with the large pool, pool bar and evening pool movies. You can charge food and drink to your camp site. The camper van spots were level. The kitchen was nice and the bathrooms were bright and clean. You do have to turn on the hot water button but the water heats up fast and lasts plenty long.

Very nice big heated pool! Unfortunately it was raining when we were there so didn't able to use all the facilities! Also you need to pay for wifi!

Large campground geared for family vacation. Clean and tidy as well as being the most expensive on our 14 night trip.

By far the most expensive place we stayed on our trip around NZ but we were meeting some friends and this was their choice. It did offer a lot for the money though - the large warm pool with its bar and movies was particularly good and the children's play area was well equipped. Staff were friendly and helpful and the site was very well maintained with spotless toilets, showers and kitchen. Wifi was good but only 100MB was free - after that you had to pay for any more. If you need to use the kitchen you might require equipment (available free from reception) as not much is provided. Overall a good place for a splurge - a bit like staying in a 5 star hotel after a while in bed and breakfasts.

Spent the day/night in the lovely campsite on 4 January 2017. It was very busy but that did not stop us enjoying cocktails in the pool whilst watching a movie on the big outdoor screen. No waiting for the laundry room or showers and both clean and spotless. Staff helpful and friendly ... our pitch was near the road bit that did not bother us at all. Highly recommend this site ... we have stayed at others of similar ranking but this was by far the best so far.
