We enjoyed this very much.
Well set out and fascinating exhibits. We learned much about early settlers to NZ. We went on a Monday which was quiet but trains run on Sunday (staff friendly).

This is a great way to get to bays and beaches along the coast for swimming, walking or just to admire the scenery.
Amazing how these easy access craft just drop you off on a beach. We went to Awaroa Lodge for lunch and return. Anything 'Lodge' in NZ is pricey.

Large family park in good position right on Kaiteriteri Beach front.
Good facilities, very popular with New Zealanders and tourist. Recycling facilities.

Very well run and organised site with good pool, internet and facilities.
Excellent recycling facilities, lovely mountain scenery. 400m walk to town (seemed more to us).

Remarkable building with so many interesting and various exhibits.
Art gallery, fastest indian, maori artefacts, communications, antarctica and much more.

Good position for walking to town - facilities good.
Reasonable standard for end of season. Grass pitches fairly boggy. Good recycling facilities.

Their 'Sounds Delivery Cruise' was a good trip marred by bad weather when we went.
However it was interesting to see how they deliver goods, people to lodges, walkers and even a wedding party complete with a band to coves and communities along the sounds. No wildlife seen.

We really enjoyed these.
Great with all ages, families, couples, friends. Well laidout and fantastic scenery. Changing rooms chilly and spartan. Photos nice but expensive, good meal in cafe after bathing.

Cheapa Campa
We were picked up at Christchurch Airport and taken to depot.
Staff could have been more welcoming and helpful. Cheapa van older than Apollo but comfortable, well equipped and so far, reliable.
