Nice place could see it being packed in summer!
We went in April so much quieter. Can pick your own pitch which is nice and facilities were all clean and tidy, the kitchen we used was a little small but I’m pretty sure there were many other facilities blocks so we could have found another! Lovely stay had and so nice to be close to the beach and the bike trail into town.

Among the best we stayed in this year!
Perfect location, a great beach and a great pub just up the road. Facilities are clean and they are dispersed around the site so you never have to walk far. The bbqs work- which they don’t at many other camp grounds!

Genuinely amazing showers in the Teal block.
But toilets only cleaned once a day, and one cubicle horrific for nearly 24 hrs as a result, and a fellow male camper cheerfully walked into the ladies instead which seemed pretty disrespectful. Good shop. Amazing location by the beach. But limited security - anyone could wander in from the boardwalk. Also not near the flight path - but literally adjacent to the runway. So fine for a quick stop en route somewhere but not an extended stay. EDIT - have upped my score after further experiences. Fact that toothbrushing sinks are separated from lavatories is immensely civilised and should be widely copied. And compared to some other places you can be pretty relaxed and comfortable booking into here.

Massive place with lots going on.
Very well organised and great environment for families with lots of organised activities. Inflatable water slide was a hit! We only spent two nights at the start of our SI trip but people looked to be set up to stay weeks. It is a big walk across the park to get to different areas but once there you really don’t need to leave the park.

Expensive (56 $ for two, nonpowered) but okay.
Lots of space, beautiful sunset. Clean bathrooms. You have to pay for the wifi, not really nice for the price.

Large holiday park with plenty of space, if a little impersonal.
We were right by the beach, nice views and walks nearby. the ablution block (Teal area) is brand new and really good, great free showers and piped music too! The kitchen and laundry is well equipped, an older block but clean. Plenty of friendly folks staying here and reception were helpful and friendly. Wi-Fi over 500mb is paid but wasn’t very strong where we were so not really worth the money. There are some nice cafes within walking distance. Right under the nelson airport flight path and flights start at 6:30 which is not great if you like a lie-in.

Kia ora Charlie - thanks so much for taking time to write a review. We're really pleased to hear for the most part you enjoyed your time with us. We are really focusing on the Wi-Fi solution at the moment - we're award it's a little patchy and we have additional transmitters being put in right now!. We would also dearly love to offer unlimited free Wi-Fi but on a property our size it's a big cost for us to absorb - but rest assured we are looking into as we know our guest demands for internet access have altered even in the last five years and we want to provide the best service. Happy and safe travelling :)

This Holiday park is massive, but spacious.
We had lots of room and enjoyed sitting outside to watch the sunset and take walks by the beach. We rented bikes and cycled around for a while which was a great way to see town. We stayed two nights and generally had a good time here.

I was in the green zone which has the oldest facilities but is closest to the beach, so would still recommend. Fair price and good atmosphere.

Large grounds with friendly staff.
The upside was the best shower/bathroom facilities of any camping ground I’ve ever been to! Downside was that the grounds hadn’t been mowed in a while so the sites were a bit unkempt and the grass was long.

Stayed two nights in this campsite towards the end of January.
No crowds and it was pretty quiet. The huge number of caravans permanently based here gives more a Trailer than Holiday-Park vibe. We stayed two nights in a spacious Kitchen Cabin, furnished with linen, a refrigerator, cupboards and cooking elements. That stale stench of cigarettes lingering in the air wasn't mentioned in any of the brochures and has been built up over many years. It isn't going to go away without a major overhaul of the room. Pretty gross!!!
If ever back in this part of the country, will be looking elsewhere for somewhere to stay.

Old facilties and quite expensive for what you get.
They shut down 2 of the amenities blocks so they don't have to clean them so ones they do have open get busy.

Horrible!
Worst camp we have stayed in. Noisy (under flight path), dirty room and toilet block... and a seemingly large, dodgy looking permanent resident population living in the cabins... we were refunded our 2nd night with no questions asked (so some good service 😉). The 1st impression of the camp is good... very holiday-like... but don't be fooled!

Great campsite, couldn't get much closer to the beach.
Facilities are excellent, plenty of toilets and showers, well equipped kitchen areas and all very clean. Lots of hot water so no luke warm showers for late comers. Kids playground is good, not as fab as others but still fun. Only downside is that the sites are quite small, some would be barely big enough for our caravan and awning etc. Can't wait to come back!
