We only stayed one night in Tahuna.
What can we say? The staff were very friendly and helpful, even though we arrived late. The sanitary facilities were clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, we didn't feel very comfortable because our pitch was not very appealing or cosy.

We were stranded in Nelson due to major issues with Interislander (next time we’ll fly from Christchurch to Auckland).
Then we got lucky and found a lovely pitch at the Nelson City Top Ten Campground – and stayed for three nights. Extremely helpful, friendly and warm-hearted staff (many thanks to Kane and Jenna, lovely to meet you). The sanitary facilities are absolutely spotless and attractive, as is everything else, and you can tell that great importance is placed on maintaining this small but perfect campground to a high standard. We felt welcome and well looked after and hope to see you again. Thanks to everyone!

Usually, a parking space for self contained vans.
We were lucky, though. The friendly and completely relaxed owner said that if anyone else arrived, we could just manoeuvre a bit. It wasn't necessary. We were lucky. A spot right by the sea, the waves lulling us to sleep – and a breathtaking sunrise the next morning. What a fantastic place. Thank you so much!

Pleasant, spacious place.
Green, with trees that block the wind somewhat.
When we arrived, unfortunately, some rowdy motorcyclists were using the road as a race track and, although not excessively loud, you can hear the basses from the kids partying on Saturday night.
Nevertheless, definitely recommended.

A really large campground.
Since we drive an SC van, we can park (almost) anywhere without needing many amenities. The night was very quiet (end of February), contrary to reports from other travellers, there was no noise or disturbances whatsoever. Pleasant!

A short detour through the fields leads to a small, really nice and quiet spot by the water.
The stone wall is a little irritating at first, but in the evening we were delighted by a seal that almost sat with us while we were eating. 😉
Clean, large toilet. Highly recommended.
