For an in the city park it was a perfect location for access to the Albatross center.
Older facility but adequate for camping in town.

This campground it on the way out.
Every aspect of the campground from bathrooms to kitchen is substandard. After traveling and camping in NZ for 7 weeks this was the worst campground we stayed in by a long shot. I do not recommend this campground unless you are absolutely desperate.

North Island ▷ Wellington Region ▷ Levin ▷
We were traveling to Wellington from New Plymouth and didn't want to drive all the way.
Foxton was the perfect stop to get to Wellington early enough to visit the town and be ready for our ferry the next day. The facility was excellent and the owner/worker was friendly and helpful.
South Island ▷ Nelson Region ▷ Abel Tasman ▷
This campground was like going back to the 60's.
The people staying at the campground and the folks working there made the experience wonderful. It's location at the beginning of the Abel Tasman track is perfect. The facilities are clean and adequate. It was quiet during the night and comfortable.

A very tight fit and with rain the grounds around our camper made it very muddy.
Small area for many campers. Limited concrete pads. Very good showers and adequate kitchen although small. Perfect location for access to downtown Queenstown. Quiet even though it is in the city.
We’re sorry to hear that the site felt tight and that the rain made the ground around your camper muddy. During wet weather, some grassed areas can become soft, and we understand that this can impact comfort. We do provide boards for the grassed areas on our camping sites for those occasions when the weather isn’t on our side, and our team is always happy to help if needed.
It’s great to hear you enjoyed the showers, found the kitchen adequate, and appreciated our central location with easy access to downtown Queenstown. We’re also pleased that you found the park quiet despite being close to the city — that’s something many guests value.
Thank you for your review and for choosing to stay with us. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future!

Great location, wonderful facility and helpful staff.
New Plymouth was a beautiful city and great location. The Track north and south right from the park was outstanding with views of Mt Egmont.
North Island ▷ Coromandel ▷ Hahei ▷
One of the best campgrounds we stayed in during our 7 week camping trip through NZ.
The location was stunning. The beach was all our own as we were there before the summer season. Location perfect for those who can walk from the campground to Cathedral cove and back. Easy drive to Hot Water Beach. Town has many nice restaurants. Facility is top notch and the drive through the Coromandel was magnificent.
