Good campervan, nice setup, only issue was with the fridge but mechanic fixed it and didn't substantially hinder travel plans.

Cosy Cottage Thermal Holiday Park
Pretty simple with reasonable facilities, extra marks for having a spa after a long day mountain bike riding.
But smelt of nearby thermal pools was actually unpleasant and adjacent neighbours (outside of site) could see straight in.

Great day, also thanks to a good tour group.
Several wineries and guide knew his local history plus a good sense of humour is important in a guide.

Little hard to find but generally unpleasant - good facilities but bit of a walk to any services other than small corner store.

Karangahake Gorge Historic Walkway
Free walk in, beautiful valley, included some great fun old tunnel section.
Interesting history too and very well maintained.

Reasonable price and extras including helmet and map.
Bikes not too great but it is to be expected with rentals.

Seal Swim Kaikoura
Great fun and luckily had perfect weather.
Price also very reasonable, only recommendation is adding the potential choice of tour photos (especially underwater photos) with extra cost of course.

The Redwoods
After having a good go at the mountain bike section at the forest, a 2 hour walk was a lovely cool down.
The tracks are well set and looked after and The Redwood forest itself is stunning.

Ohau Point Seal Colony
Driving along the coast we saw this lookout point and (luckily) decided to stop.
Surprise highlight of the day as we watched a very large and busy seal colony in action - although most were lazing about. In my opinion a must see.
