Wicked riding!!! something for all abilities, super close to town. The Redwoods is one of the massive drawcards to Rotorua - very popular with locals and internationals and hosts some excellent mountain biking events.
There are many cycle shops in town if you need to hire equipment, or get things fixed. The mountain biking area is well sign posted, but if you are planning on doing some real exploring it pays to buy a map (available from any bike shop).
You can spend days finding you way around the forest - have fun!

Loved it! The forest is just stunning. I did the Kids loop, Tahi and Dipper with my 7 year old son and survived. Harder than I expected but I made it. Tracks very well sign posted and the location is amazing. A lot of work going on to make more facilities for future mtb groups. Clean toilets and showers avail and cafe worth hot choc, banana smoothies etc. Rotorua MTB were really helpful with our hire and suggesting appropriate tracks for us.
So nice by bicycle.
Awesome bike park, with so many good trails for each level, great to explore by yourself to take a shuttle in between.
A great day at Redwood forest. Quick and fast service to rent the bikes. Even some hot showers for after your ride.
Best place for a funny ride.
Great tracks and trails for all abilities.
Great tracks and trails for all abilities. We used mountain bike Rotorua (in the carpark) which had good quality bikes and helpful staff.
Perfect tracks for beginners and professionals as well. Nice view from the top.
Great MTB trails, very well maintained. I hired a bike from Mud Cycles, it was in a great condition and the owner of the company was very friendly - he even took me to the start of the trails. Kiwis are awesome!
The scale of mountain bike tracks were extremely large with tracks for all ability, although bike hire was quite expensive.
Fantastic trails from intermediate to expert. Both technically challenging and big downhill features. Fantastic trail work.
The tracks in the Redwoods are really nice, there is a big variety of tracks so everyone should find a suitable track.
Great track in the Redwood Forest. If you are a confident bike rider you will have much fun there!
