  • Convenient spot and not too busy.

It's on the main road through town so it's quite noisy, but there's a toilet and a park with tables right by the carpark.

  • Nice parking spot, about 10 vehicles possible to park.

Relatively clean toilets. No showers, they are in Kaitaia - hot and clean.

  • Car park with toilets next to you.

It is ok to spend the night. People say that was noisy but at 7 am you have to leave the place anyway. Easy to find. At 7 am the traffic control is waiting for kick you out.

  • Avoid if possible!

Had a disrupted sleep thanks to locals pulling up in their cars blaring music and revving their engines multiple times throughout the night.

  • This is a small carpark next to a playground and the main road.

We were not troubled by either and spent a quiet night here. You are meant to bre out by 7am apparently so the early morning trucks at 6:30am aren't really a problem. There are toilets next to the carpark and they were clean.

  • Not a bad spot, but it is incredibly loud.

It feels like this town has thousands of motorcycles, and they all rev their engines as they go by on the straight stretch. Would recommend earplugs if you stay here.

  • A small concrete parking area next to the main highway, with ring for about 8 cars or 3 motorhomes.

There are a small toilet block and children's playground next to it. Very unattractive, noisy and not what I would call a camping stop at all. More like a last resort overnight rest stop if you are tired.

  • Nice and quiet.

There is no facilities, but good for one night stop over.

  • Practical and not too busy.

Good place to start to Cape Reinga.

  • It‘s nothing special, but definitely a good spot if you are staying in the area.

Lots of room for large and small vehicles. There are no toilets around.

  • Good place to stay.

Flat parking, lots of grass and not next to the road. Perfect and free place.

  • Great place to park, right next to a rugby field so the kids have plenty of space to run, just no dump site around, caretaker lives on site.

Great freedom camping spot when heading to Cape Reinga.

  • AVOID THIS PLACE.

Noisiest place I have ever stayed. State Highway traffic including the intersection plus the locals. Was there on Tuesday night. Has a 7pm to 7am time limit. Is a a mall car park.

  • We arrived late but as you turn in there are no Motorhome or camping signs.

Looking to turn around it leads in 50 m to the Rugby Club car park. Confused I knocked on the caretaker’s door and asked him where the place to stop was. He said not anymore but saw our van and said we could stay.
