Great spot to camp, quiet area & neighborhood.
Parking is on grass so it’s nice compared to a parking lot. Nice dock to walk on. Only complain is the parking is huge but the freedom camping section is small. A few cars parked outside the designated freedom camping but didn’t have any issues. TCDC does come by to make sure people are out by 9am. Would camp here again

Really nice spot.
Lots of space, good views, clean new toilets with an outside shower as well. Morning swim was amazing

One of the prettiest and safest spots i’ve camped.
The view of the mountains, quite neighbourhood, nice and clean WC, cold shower outside it. There was someone with a council car at 8 a.m. who came to check whether all regulations are met by the campers and then left.

Quiet park with views of the water and restrooms.
Probably 6 or 7 vehicles parked there with room for 1-2 more. Sign did say it was limited to just 4 vans parked from 5 pm-9 am but didn’t seem to be enforced.

Really nice view, quite a few spots.
We arrived late and it was ok.
The toilets are open all night, little bit dirty but that was alright.

Nice spot for five cars at the sea.
(Someone came by and controlled around 8 o'clock).
No showers, but clean toilets.

Nice place to stay, very quiet and a pretty nice view.
Public toilets are clean! It's close to an new build neighbourhoud but far enough to have some privacy.

Freedom camping is accessible now, still home construction going on in the new neighborhood but not blocking the site access and it's not noisy.
Toilets are fine, but after a good rain the site was very very muddy - some small cars may have trouble getting in and out - we nearly did. The beautiful large trees have all been cut down sadly but not sure why.

Lovely and clean spot to stay.
Parking is between signs on a flat, grassy area. Bathroom open all night but had no lights so make sure you bring your torch. Someone from council came by around 8am to check that everyone was CSC and hand out maps with other camp sites, dump stations etc. Nice guy and many thanks to the district for providing free places like this to stay 😊

We arrived after much confusion to find the area completely fenced off with contractor vehicles all over it.
Not a place to camp right now.

A nice enough stop for the night by the boat ramp with a toilet close by.
Arrive after 5.30 on weekdays as construction work next door. Plenty of room and shade and quiet night. Check out the fishies and crab from the jetty.

Nice grassy area.
Had the whole place to ourselves on a Saturday. Propably wouldn't recommend coming during the week though as there is a big housing development going on right next door. Could get quite noisy with all the diggers that we're parked up there when we stayed.

Beautiful spot in a large flat area by the boat ramp.
Toilets are a 100m or so away and there are some benches to sit on as well

Nice grass parking area though can only fit about 6 camper vans.
Large area with boat ramp facilities so most of the space is used as boat trailer parking. Clean toilet with no lighting need a touch. All freedom campers were also given local council rubbish bags and info on the area which was very helpful.

Popular area with lots of boat owners, but they all park in the carpark away from camp site.
Lovely spot near the water and the wharf was popular with people jumping off and swimming. Only self contained vehicles allowed to stay the night, NO Tents. A lady came around to check and turned out to be really helpful and friendly. There was only about 5-6 designated spots which were all taken, but ‘Liz’ allowed us to stay just outside of boundary and gave some local information brochures and a rubbish bag for our use.
