Good location but not super scenic - it's in the town car park, however definitely very very walkable and convenient to the main drag in town, a clean public toilet (but not open 24 hours), can walk to

the overlook, really like the takeaway place directly across the street very kind and big tasty menu. Campers definitely get checked in the morning by the council. We went in winter and it was half full so probably gets really busy in the summer! Would stay again!

Nice spot in the city center, don't arrive too late though!

The toilets are really clean and open all night, so no worries.

Nice enough spot in a great little town.

We enjoyed being so close to the restaurants/bars to go for a drink in the evening and even went to one to watch the all blacks game in the morning!

Good spot for a free nights camping.

Right next to town so lovely to go out for dinner and drinks and still be near the van. No toilets. We stayed on a Saturday night and the car park did get very loud with cars/music after 1am which kept me up most the night. Right next to a school so wouldn’t ideally want to stay here on a weeknight.

Parking space beside school in the large town carpark.

Quiet at night, fine for large camper. Very near loos (close at 5), info centre, public pool (swim for 4, shower for $2) cafe and the rest of the town. Perfect for what it is.

Planned to stay here for one night but turned up and it’s in a car park next to a school with no real view and a bit of a walk to the toilets, so we moved on.

Convenient location for Coromandel town but not much else there. Only four spaces available for camping in a large car park

Nice little spot to park for free right in the heart of town if you are self contained.

Public toilets only a very short walk away. We used the payed showers at a local gym nearby too and there is a laundromat across the road also.

For an in-town spot, this is perfect.

Lots of good places to eat, bathrooms, and WiFi nearby. Only four spaces for campervans up to 7 meters maximum in length.
