Stayed here a couple times.
Always lots of space, just park yourself on the grass and hangout! Small kitchen with table and 2 bathrooms / showers. 5min walk to the Superette and stores. Quiet at night as it’s not near the highway.
The house behind the park sometimes uses the park as a short cut to their property so vehicles are just driving through it occasionally.

Great spot to stay if you are exploring mount cook area.
4 long drop toilets (sometimes they smell awful) but seem to be cleaned or at least swept out. No water no showers. Tons of parking, 3 lots at least. Not a ton of flat ground so if you want a level spot, get there earlier. The best spots fill up immediately. No shade, no tree cover, mad dusty if there is wind. Phone service is 1/4 bars most of the time, if you walk up onto the hills you’ll have better service. Over all not bad! The views are the best part about this spot

Pretty good spot!
By the lake and can hear the crashing of the waves from the beach at night. Has 2x flush toilets and no showers, so the toilets can be busy at times. Saw them being cleaned the evening we arrived. Gets very busy, and people just park on the grass / anywhere. Overall not bad and a great spot in town for 1 or 2 nights while exploring Taranaki

Great spot to stay while exploring tongariro.
Can pay a $10 per night fee via penny card or book on their site
Pros: lots of space, powered & un powered sites, great facilities (2 x bathroom, 2x showers, stoves & sinks, laundry)
Cons: it’s just a parking lot, railway right beside so prepare to get woken up a few times by loud trains, parking lot lights on all night.
Over all an excellent spot in the national park.

Great spot to camp, quiet area & neighborhood.
Parking is on grass so it’s nice compared to a parking lot. Nice dock to walk on. Only complain is the parking is huge but the freedom camping section is small. A few cars parked outside the designated freedom camping but didn’t have any issues. TCDC does come by to make sure people are out by 9am. Would camp here again

For just a parking lot it was great.
Very quiet after people left from the local pool. Bathrooms were clean (also saw the cleaning company come by in the morning to give a full clean). Only downside is the bathrooms closed at maybe 10pm ish. Tons of room but only 6 vans allowed, I’m sure you could fit 1 or 2 more and not have a problem.

Pretty good spot!
Convienent location & can fit quite a few vans! Had some people in the park at 6am that seemed to be a bit cracked out but. 24hr bathroom near the north end of the car park, also a playground. Signs said to be out at 9am but almost everyone was still there by 10am. Not a bad spot if you just need somewhere quick to sleep!

Good spot in Auckland.
Bathroom was supposed to be closed but was unlocked all night. Not bad for a parking lot. Limited spots. Nearby skatepark

Good spot for a few vans.
Nice beach, but can be busy during the day. Has outdoor shower and public toilets, No rubbish bins though so bring home what you bring in
