  • Grand espace de stationnement asphalté.

Toilette à proximité ouverte toute la nuit.

Levé de soleil sur la.mer en prime!

  • It’s very nicely located close to the town and the beach.

However, there were some very strange people hanging around the parking lot until sunset. One of them probably on drugs as he was yelling at something that wasn’t even there.

  • Lots of space, beautiful view.

We didn't have too much noise as some of the other reviews have said. Great location.

Can empty grey water and get fresh drinking water there.

  • Un parking, serrés les uns contres les autres, promiscuité.

Toilette juste correcte. On a détesté.

  • Constant traffic noise through the night.

Some dodgy characters parking up. Only positive is good location for walking into Napier.

  • Lots of spots.

Chill vibes. Big ones for trailers. Nice table seating picnic area close by. Great pump track. Ran it- didn’t have bike/ board- but ran that thang. It was sick! Got some speed.

The walk on the sidewalk was so pleasant early morning. No one around besides a few people. A cute old woman said “what a day we’re having am I right?” And that explained the vibe perfectly.

Coffee shop in a trailor about 20 min walk from the spot. Good coffee.

Nice free place in a trippy town, with not much to do when there’s no waves, Napier. Thx.

  • Easy to use, would be good to have link to go straight to camps website

  • 8thMay24.

    2 adults in motorhome.

Good location and good facilities as described by others.

As well as being close to the road there is also a railway line the other side of the road. Lots of rail line crossings so bells and train noises sometimes.

A shortish walk to the Sea Life Centre. That’s worth a visit, a cafe and decent toilets!

Dump station and fresh water too, all for nothing.

Would have been a 10 if further away from the road.

  • Great place to camp.

Loads of spaces, clean toilet, dump station and fresh water, and right by the sea - about 3k walk into town - what more could you want?!

  • Nice parking area with cool view of the bay, lots of spots, 2 toilets, one outside cold shower, everything was rather clean.

Some noise from the road at night but still could sleep well. 20 minutes walking from the city centre, perfect location!

  • Loads of space on the waterfront, close to amenities.

Two loos (non drop). Close to the road but we had a jucy with v good soundproofing so wasn’t an issue

  • Nous sommes restés 2 nuits et avons apprécié ce freecamp, proche de la plage et du centre ville Les toilettes étaient rapidement sales car beaucoup de passage Beaucoup d'emplacements

  • Rated a 10 for a spot along the shore.

The second row is tight and the third row abuts the dump station. But if you can snag a spot along the beach walkway. Then you are in for a real treat with fantastic views! Special shout out to that anonymous fellow camper who upon departure asked us if we wanted there beachfront parking space. Awesome.

Absolutely one of my favorite spots!

  • Great freedom camping spot by the ocean.

Bathrooms were really gross, but hey it’s free.

  • Solid spot for a first-time overnight in a campervan.

Very close to town for the supermarket etc. and walking distance to a lot of shops, cafes, and things to do. Decent toilets, dump station, and drinking water all available. Arrived at 1930 with still plenty of spots, though it did fill up overnight. If you’re a sensitive sleeper, be aware that there is a bit of noise from the road and the train tracks throughout the night.

    And drinkable water.

  • Well done Napier council.

    Excellent free camp site.

Could do with more like this across the country.

2 proper flushing toilets open all night and very clean.

    Water supply and dump station.

Space for over 20 large campers.

    Patrolled by council.

    Great view of Pacific ocean

Pretty quite but you might hear the occasional freight train.

  • Decent spot with water and a dump station provided.

The toilets were acceptable, but we felt a bit uneasy due to the people around us. Several spots were vacated during the night. The location isn't the best, as it's too far from the center, but it's right next to the ocean.

  • It’s mainly a car park - lots of spaces at least.

Can hear noise from the road and plenty of people arriving in the morning for general car park use. Toilet okay, door a bit janky. Didn’t use the cold shower but I like that it’s an option.
