There are several entries for the I Site onthe web.
One says the Site is not open Mondays. One says it opens 8:30am on Mondays and another says it opens at 10am!

Please don’t disturb woman at front desk and ask for tourist information!
Most rude and unhelpful service in NZ.

Really awful, rude service from Turangi i-SITE.
We obviously asked some 'dumb' questions. As a mother with three young children at an information centre, I did not know this was possible. So much eye rolling, sighing, and just blatant rudeness , I have never experienced anywhere before. For what reason I have no idea. RETIRE grumpy lady.

The receptionist was too fast/quick to explain for two elderly people.
But there was a lot of written information.

Very helpful and nice.
She talked a lot of all possibilities, including what we did not think of (ie we wanted to do a kayak tour, but very expensive, so she mentioned boat tours). But only two very helpful women, we had to wait for 30 minutes - they need more staff!!
