Great little site. Very quiet with clean, flushing toilets.
Long grass in the paddock, so just take your time driving & it’s all good!
Each camping location is approved by a regional council in NZ. So if it shows on the map, you’re allowed to stay.

Basic campsite in the middle of a grass field. The facilities were very clean. May not be easy to find, from Whakamaru turn right (there is a sign about Mangakino Moto X park), you have to pass a gate and then there is the camping. There is an entrance opposite the toilet block.

The paddock where you stop your camper had very long grass so was very wary not knowing what the ground was like underneath and what I might drive over. We were the only ones there, not sure the rankers map location is completely correct as we found it quite hard to find and had to go round in a circle and ask at petrol station before we found it! But nice views, basic toilets and free.
