Kaniwhaniwha Campsite is a basic, free camping area situated in an open grassy space next to the Kaniwhaniwha Stream within Pirongia Forest Park, Waikato. It offers 24 non-powered sites for tents and is accessible only by walking or mountain biking. The campsite operates on a first-come, first-served basis and provides opportunities for swimming and exploring nearby tracks. There is no vehicle access to the campsite.

Hunters will be carrying out goat control in Pirongia Forest Park from 17 to 26 June. They will use suppressed firearms and working dogs.
Hunters will be based at Kaniwhaniwha campsite.
