Smiths Farm was developed in 1997 by Chris and Barbara Faulls. Situated on Barbara's family farm, guests can relax and soak up the sights and sounds of paradise or opt to explore the wonderful local area.
Wander through the farm to the bush walk that leads you to a big waterfall. Try our night time adventure and visit the glow worms in their magical dell. Feed the pet animals and just enjoy being in the country in a unique part of NZ.
Just 3km away at Anakiwa is the start of the Queen Charlotte Track. Talk to Chris and Barbara about options for walking, mountain biking or kayaking on the Queen Charlotte Track or in the Queen Charlotte Sound itself.
Take a mail boat cruise, hop on a scenic cruise or a mussel cruise or pilot your own boat at your leisure.
The Waikakaho Walkway is also just a few kilometres away and you can explore the old goldmining area of Cullensville.
If that doesn't take your fancy, then drive the 40minutes to Blenheim and either self drive around the many vineyards and attractions or hop onboard a guided tour. Sample some of the amazing fresh food at the many excellent restaurants and cafes or visit the Saturday artisan's market or the Farmers market on Sunday.

Great campsite so close to Anikawa and the Queen Charlotte Track. Nothing beats Barbara and Chris’s awesome kiwi hospitality with fresh muffins on arrival and feed for animals. A short walk to the waterfall and glow worms is a must. What a treat having private waterfalls at the campsite. Facilities are clean and modern. Campsite was full end of December (post Christmas) but wasn’t crowded. Thanks for the awesome stay!

One of my fav campsites on our trip we had warm muffins on arrival and got given animal food. Went for a walk at dusk to see the gloworms which were many and very impressive. Definitely take the torch that is offered on loan from the owners and wear some good shoes can get slippery.

Greeted with a warm muffin straight out of the oven and some feed for me to give to the animals. Most welcomed I’ve felt at any site on my travels so far. And an incredible walk up the back of the farm. Definitely recommend this spot.

Just wanted to share how awesome this campsite is! We were welcomed by hot and delicious home made muffins. The owners provided food for feeding the animals, yes free farm tour! The owners are lovely people very welcoming. There is a private walk from the campsite which gives access to gloworms and waterfalls. The facilities are very clean. One of the best sites I’ve ever been to :)

Stayed 1 night as I was just passing through. Very nice place with clean facilities, friendly owners that made the experience very personal with providing a delicious home made muffin at arrival and giving me a bag of food for animals! Unfortunately haven't done the glow warms waterfall, but I bet it's a great thing to do either! Definitely I would stay again.

Incredible stay! I was looking at a farm stay and I'm so happy that I spent time in that special place. The owners are lovely people very welcoming, they took the time to introduce me to their farm and the animals. Decilious home made sweets are offered to every guests and the owners are providing food for feeding the animals which is a very funny and adorable experience! Their is a private walk from the campsite which gives access to gloworms.
The facilities are very cosy, pretty and clean. There is also a fire place in the living room which was perfect for a winter stay. This place was so enjoyable I decided to extend my stay.
I truly believe that the accommodation is where begins a great travel and I would recommend that place to anyone.
Thank you for your hospitality and I'll definitely come back.

I stayed in a self-contained unit. Quality linens, I always like that. The common kitchen/living room is new and well organised with a sheltered outside area.
The managers are very helpful.

One of my favourite places I’ve stayed in the entire South Island. Friendly lovely people, welcome muffins and you can feed the adorable animals! Plus there’s incredible bird life. That’s not to mention the gorgeous glow worm and waterfall track through the woods which is a definite highlight. Lovely spot for star gazing as well. Facilities are good, clean, showers are hot. What more could you want?

Thank you Barbara and Chris! Who let us stay with you during lock-down! 2 weeks at your farm felt like the best holiday! Familyfriendly with animals, traks, small waterfall. But most of all we felt part of the family. And Barbara and Chris did more than they had to to make us feel welcome during tuff times. We were isolated in the best place! Thank you again!

Perfect spot on the way to Abel Tasman. Excellent and clean facilities, very friendly and helpful owner and we even got some welcome muffins upon our arrival! A nice little walk to a waterfall and to see the glowworms just behind your tent and lots of friendly animals around. Would definitely recommend!

This is a very pleasant family run campsite which is very convenient for Picton and the ferry. Home cooked muffins greet you and a bag of animal feed for the sheep and goats. There’s a walk up to a waterfall through glow worms which we didn’t do since the weather was poor but it’s another bonus. The facilités are clean although there are just three showers and three toilets for the site but that didn’t seem to cause any problems.
