This place is magic at night but has alot of industrial sounds during day..
But a wonderful bush to escape in just behind camp. I struggled with a local having some kind of alarm on that went 4x in a minute.. He was unable tp hear it to turn off.. If been here 21days and that beep is still occuring no matter how many times management have been informed. Its torture.
The rent went up because rates were on February the 3rd yet they were unable to alloe the old price for the two days 1.2and 2.2.25..gosh now the use of the washer jmachine jumped up to 6$ last week. Would of been able to have bought a tupperware container at market if these unexpected costs hadnt just appeared from nowhere.. Just how the cookie crumbles.

We were very pleased with this Campsite .
It was easy to find, ideally placed for the Wellington ferry terminals, best hot shower we have had in NZ. Great kitchen area and friendly staff. Not all sites can have brand new services but everything was clean on this site.

Local animals are cute and the amenities work fine but feels a little like you’re camping in someone else’s backyard.
Lots of semi-permanent residents there. Everyone we encountered was friendly though.

A transit camp for the ferry.
Pretty noisy. Clean facilities. Fine for a night but not for any longer. We made the mistake of basing ourselves here in a tent to visit Wellington

Good location to catch the ferry.
There are hot showers unlimited and toilets, both were clean. The kitchen was great! You can also do laundry for 3$. There are many permanent residents and only a few camper. It’s good for one night.

I cannot believe this place is in business.
We paid $50 for a powered site based off of their website and when we arrived we were stunned by the terrible quality of the camp. Buildings were all very run down and there were heaps of permanent/homeless residents which were not mentioned at any point while emailing the staff to organise a booking. We actually left about 10 minutes after arriving rather than staying the night as we felt it uneasy about the whole experience.

We wrote them some months ago noticing them that we would arrive later than its closure to give us some indications of what to do when arriving (like giving us an envelope with our site or whatever) and
NO REPLY.
We wrote them the same day before its closure remembering them that we would be late and asking for indications and NO REPLY, so we had to sleep in the street EVEN THOUGH WE ALREADY PAID FOR OUR STAYING.
Until now we haven't received any answer of my emails or phone calls.
We phoned them several times and NO REPLY NEITHER.
So, if you don't wanna be stolen, DON'T COME HERE. You better go elsewhere.

Nice hot showers that are free simple little kitchen mini horses at the camp.
Close to the train station so we caught the train in to the city so we didn’t have to find parking beautiful view from the camp site. A few Full time stayers but still nice and quite

this place is perfect, we arrived on the ferry at 5pm and came here (a former US military hospital from WW2) where we relaxed had dinner and a nice long chat to the friendly locals.
The Whittikers chocolate factory is just down the street.

Really good place to camp if you’re in Wellington, really good value and and the amenities are decent.
Probably one of the best value spots for a camper in Wellington.

Nice and cheap campground (unpowered site: 15 NZD per Person), hot showers and clean facilities.
The only disadvantage was the kitchen - there are no kitchen utensils (such as pans, plates, ...) provided!

Very convenient location close to Wellington and good facilities.
We booked by phone for late arrival with the ferry from the South Island and everything was perfectly organised with the manager (guidance and instructions left in the mail box).

Expensive for being basically a car park.
