Really really love the customer service and the feel here.

Me, my daughter and niece needed somewhere to stay for the night and wanted a hot shower. Turned up around 8pm and was given a spot with the most beautifullest customer service!!! Showers were AMAZING and clean. They also have a clean kitchen with electricity. They also have farm animals you can see and pat. Absolutely loved it here 😀

    23May24.

2 adults on powered site with motorhome. $40 +$5 for WiFi.

Very good facilities and friendly hosts.

My only disappointment was the laundry room. 2 washers and 1 dryer. I think there really must be equal numbers. When we were there the dryer was out of action and the sign taped to it was not visible when loading the washing machine. Consequently we had a load of wet washing and the weather was showery so not a viable option to dry it. A motorhome filled with wet clothing is not so good.

    That apart very good.

Jo was amazingly helpful when we ran out of light biking from the cape.

She facilitated a friendly co-camper to come and collect us in his truck after a wet and wild ride. We were so grateful help us out and to get dry, have a shower. The camp ground has a family feel about it. Comfortable and clean. Thanks Jo.

    2. Great range of animals that the kids loved engaging with and fun tree house.

    PROs:

    1. Immaculately clean kitchen/bathrooms

    3. Very short walk to shops/cafe/pub

    CONS:

    1. Lack of reception, tricky when you work remotely.

    2. Website says guests can "pick and enjoy" from seasonal fruit trees, you cannot. We got told off and called "cheeky" for allowing our kids to pick a few things each.

    3. There are a lot of permanent campers, some are lovely but most made us feel as if we were encroaching on their space, there were a lot of loud drinks within this group during the week we were there too.

Overall, it's not a bad camp if you need a base whilst exploring the far north it's great and has everything you need but its not a camp we would want to hang around in.

Thank you for your comments. To answer some of your points; Not all cell phone providers have good reception at our holiday park, but we do have very good WIFI throughout the hliday park that you can purchase if you need to. We do have seasonal fruit, and in the 23 years I have been here, you are the first family that thought it was OK to help yourself without asking (I will clarify the wording on our website). It was your partner/husband I saw who helped himself to a ladder, climbed it and was picking unripe bananas from the trees. We spoke, and you returned to your bus with fruit and eggs. I will speak to the permenants about your feeling uncomfortable - this is not acceptable. Mostly guests find our residents very friendly and helpful. Kind regards JO

We had no problems with this campsite- facilities were clean and the camp manager (who was in her first week of the job) was lovely.

It doesn’t have the pretty beaches or views of other campsites, but worked in perfectly with our itinerary as a stopover before exploring the far north.

The manager was really friendly and nice person.

I found rubbish, peels of water melon, noodle, etc., on the camping site when I put a tent up.

But I felt quite relaxing until a large group came.

They started to play cricket beside my tent and the tent was sometimes hit by a ball.

They did not stop playing even I asked them to stop.

Moreover, they had conversations with loud until 23:00.

I think the manager should pay attention before checking in.

I feel sorry about this because this holiday park is quite nice.

Small little site, friendly owner and we met another lovely couple whilst there.

Seemed to be some permanent residents on site which gave it a funny feel and there was a lot of noise from the top facilities also the bathrooms are quite open so a lot of insects get into them and think we parked our van on a rather large ants nest, so be aware! Lovely little restaurant and bar at the bottom of the road, food was delicious.

Nice semi-private places to pitch a tent, and dog was welcome.

Facilities were freely available and clean and tidy. Unfortunately we seemed to strike this particular spot at the wrong time, as they had a large group staying overnight whose loud noise from drunken attendees went on well into the night and didn't finish until around 3am, with no apparent intervention from management to lessen the noise. Really not the relaxing experience we expected from looking at their website, and very hard on our young children. Because of this experience we most likely would not use this campground again, nor recommend to other campers. If you choose to go anyway, take your insect repellent - the bugs here are fairly aggressive come nightfall.
