Close walk to Waitangi Treaty Grounds. Probably one of the more pricier places we’ve stayed.

We were self contained, so didn’t investigate the kitchen block.
Showered in the new ablution block which you had to pay for with limited water, hard to get the temperature right within the timeframe. The old block was free with unlimited water.
Able to pay for washing machine using your phone which was handy.
5 min walk to the beach.
5 min drive to the township

Friendly hosts.
Were self contained so didn’t use the kitchen facilities. Showers and toilets were clean.
Only annoyance was the locals appeared to use the washing machines so had to wait, frustrating considering we were paying for the facilities.
Local pub and four square only down the road.

We stayed off peak but was still really busy.
Pays to get there early. Great views and lovely beach. Toilet was clean and only had a cold shower. Value for money. Would stay again

Awesome place.
Great beachfront views.
Facilities were immaculate.
Stayed two nights and had we had more time would have stayed longer.

Freedom camped for one night.
The grassed area was full but stayed down the other end at the car park by the toilets. Toilets were compostable. Clean. No showers. Great view of the sun setting.

We were self contained.
A portaloo was available but maybe only because it was the end of the season we think. Recycling and rubbish bins there also.
We turned up without a booking, office wasn’t manned so paid online. Obviously difficult if you don’t have wifi.
Beautiful location. We were fortunate not to be there at peak time so had a great view of the lake.

Freedom camped.
Only $20. Great views, successful fishing too. Overlooking the harbour so exposed if windy.

Fantastically clean kitchen, toilet, showers.
Great views from the elevated sight we had. Fortunate to be there off peak.
Definitely worth the stay.
