  • Nice small campsite with everything you need.

Handy to the middle of town and friendly staff. Showers were great.

  • Right in the middle of town — convenient if you like walking to everything, less so if you enjoy personal space.

Sites are tight and you’ll get to know your neighbours quickly. Many long-term campers, all very friendly.

Facilities were good, with reliably hot water. Strong Wi-Fi. No fresh water to refill, but there is a dump station.

The reception appears to be permanently unoccupied, yet somehow always reachable. A small modern miracle.

  • It may not (currently) look like the poshest place but it is really comfortable and nice.

Close to town, a 25 minute stroll to the marina the location is brilliant. The live-ins are friendly and pleasant, the bathrooms are immaculate (some of the cleanest have seen) and the showers have been updated so now have the traditional booth with a door. The managers are lovely. Ignore any previous poor reviews things have changed!!

  • We stayed in a tent and have a small car.

We arrived without reservation, after hours; I called the number on the reception door and someone met me within 5 minutes. The park is not really set up for tents. It's loud and crowded with no privacy. The facilities are clean, the kitchen well equipped with stove, fridge, freezer. Bring your own cookware. Showers and toilets are clean. Good price and location for a quick stop over. I gave the rating of 7 because we stayed in a tent and it's not really set up for a tent, but the facilities more than make up for that.

  • This was our second Holiday Park since picking up our Campervan.

This was in the middle of a really cute town so walking to the waterfront and local shops was easy. We did the loop at the marina then had a nice lunch at the Quay on the water front. We got a powered site that was concrete and fairly level. Showers were hot with lots of pressure and the community kitchen was great. I think we paid $80.00 NZD per night for 4 people.

  • Fiona very friendly.

$44 for two on a powered site. Very basic amenities, toilets and showers did not feel clean, no soap to wash hands. Very close to town just a short walk which was why we stayed here, a nice local pub called the judge was fantastic for a few drinks.

$19 pp on a powered camp site is a good deal to me, water and power right there, all facilities are okay with me, we’ll be back again for sure

  • Stayed in a non powered site for 2 people.

Staff were friendly but that's about it. We were under willow trees where the sap was dropping. We ended up putting a tent up to reserve our spot, when we came back the groundskeeper had moved it because he was mowing the lawns - I didn't mind that though. The toilets and showers are outdated and in need of some refurbishment. toilet stalls are very small and dirty, showers were very dirty. Small laundry with 2 washers and a dryer. kitchen & dining area was small but had a toaster, kettle and fridge. There are also toilets and showers on the opposite side of the grounds, which smelt horrible! our site was by the creek and at night, the people who live in the flats on the other side of the creek, were shining torches right into our van and looking for a way to get across the creek, it seemed. It was about 10pm at night. It was quite scary as we were the only ones under the trees in that area. No neighbours. in my opinion the facilities were not great and I wouldn't stay there again.

  • Awesome campground - I stayed at a powered site - hot showers, playground & tramp for kids, lovely management.

There was plenty of space to park my 5m motorhome - I saw trucks and caravans able to park with ease also and there were busses in the next section. Loved the communal kitchen area, fridge, microwave & toasters, as well as a little library of books in the sitting area. Might need to bring own cutlery/pots but there’s a few odd things in there like pans, cups and a knife etc. Coin laundry available, as well as paid wifi if needed. Happy stay!

  • Superb placement, quiet and secure.

The facilities are well appointed and exceptionally clean.

Staff fantastic and more than happy to oblige.

The showers are hot and for free.

Dish washing and cooking facilities are above average and hygienic. We didn’t try out the washing/dryer machines.

Can’t fault this place. I’m from the UK and a natural whinger; so it’s got to be brilliant!

Why only a nine, need to keep the management on their toes.

Over all, an extremely excellent Holiday Park.

  • Stayed here last night 2/09/17.

6 Aussies in 3 motor homes and had powered sites. Loved it. Great park. Very clean amenities. Ladies toilets and shower block in

Green and pink colour was bright and cheerful. Hot water was excellent . Bath mats in showers was a nice touch. Kitchen and sitting area were spotless. Host was very friendly and helpful. A drive to see the Whangarei Falls is a must. Cost was $36.00 a site.

Super clean, a little funky ! Feels like going to Grammas house with the retro green sinks and pink walls in the bathroom. Nice touches, reception walks you to your site, bathmats in the showere, real towel to dry your hands on and good internet for a very small fee! Loved this place !
