Camping at DeBretts

Whether you are looking for a relaxing couples break or taking the family away for the weekend Taupo DeBretts caters for everyone.

This is one of NZ's most popular hot thermal mineral complexes, with a huge range of accommodation options, spectacular views, free WIFI and quiet location; Taupo DeBretts Hot Springs and Pools is the perfect solution a day activity while visiting the volcanic zone holiday or an overnight stay.

Families, couples, groups and individual travellers give glowing feedback about the Thermal Hot Springs. Featuring two large outdoor mineral pools, twelve indoor private mineral pools, a fresh water pool, two spa’s, warm interactive children’s playground with tipping bucket and a three heated waterslide. The pools are naturally heated from a geothermal spring and contain many natural health benefits; they are drained and cleaned every single day!

The resort boasts a professional and elegant spa that has a range of treatments for those looking for a pampering. There are romantic getaway packages available for couples bundled with treatments and accommodation. Body wraps and scrubs, facials, massages, pedicures and the ever popular fassage (a combination of a facial and a massage!).

The resort is brilliant for families (check out our reviews) as there is lots of open space for children to run around, activities to keep them busy; a brightly coloured themed playground, a giant jumping cushion, trampoline, volleyball net, board games but best of all the hot mineral spa pools! Kids absolutely love splashing around in the pools; there is a warm interactive playground, a huge dragon water slide and a giant chess game. Children are literally entertained for hours.

A variety of accommodation to suit all budgets is available ranging from standard cabins, kitchen cabins, ensuite cabins to Qualmark accredited 5 star Holiday Park chalets, superior lodges and villas. There are spacious motel units also on offer from studio units to one and two bedrooms. If you are tenting or have a campervan the shared facilities are well equipped.

The best pool we have been to. The price was okay. And they had different pools (different temperatures). Even big waterslides for kids.

For $15 it's worthwhile, several different pools at different temperatures. The waterslide was very good fun especially the bendy part at the end.

We were slightly disappointed there wasn't more pools..... until we discovered the private spa pools, no extra cost just leave a deposit (e.g. keys) and you have your own spa pool at your choice of temperature (38-42c) - I think most people miss the private pools so well worth checking them out.

We loved this place as it had lovely hot pools to swim in and great kitchen facilities. Laundry was cheap to do here too.

A great experience, pools of different temperatures, nicely laid out with attractive shrubs and trees, - a simple place for excellent enjoyment. And a discount if you stay at the motor home site.
