  • Really nice green spot in the middle of town.

I was confused at first since there’s no signage indicating this is a free camp. The council website however states this is a free camp. Good spot and pretty quiet at night, and toilet are not too far away!

  • Stopped here om my first night in north island.

It's a tarmac roadway to a museum? Quiet and peaceful, no one else around. Toilets close by. Convenient for Waitomo caves in the morning.

Someone came by at about 10pm checking my self contained sticker

  • It’s a cul de sac in the middle of a little historic reserve.

No marker indicating where to park, but we pulled over at the end and had no problems staying overnight. Toilets just a 4-minute walk away.
