    About 18 + vehicles here.

10 maximum are the rules and only between blue lines.

⚠️Tourists, young, European mainly, there are garbage bins here. Use them! ⚠️Stop throwing your wet wipes and tissues on the ground! In any site you stay in or visit! Disrespectful! Who do you think you are. ⚠️Do not put wet wipes down any toilets in NZ! Fgs show some intelligence! Rules are there for a reason.

It was over crowded when we went.

Lots of people outside the rules and a fair few people were spoken to by the ranger in the morning - the rules are regulated and those outside the rules notified/fined. Public toilets are pretty dirty there. Open fields ok for playing ball/ frisbee on. Traffic at nearby roundabout is really bad at peak hour. Don't try going after 5pm.

We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed this place.

Nothing special, just a parking lot but near a beautiful park, so it was quiet regarding car noise. Next to it was also a good visited sports field and a leisure/ gym center, in where we used the toilets. These were clean and there were showers available also. But the real “camper” toilets were outside… Horrifying. I could not and will never use them. Dirty, divided into its single parts… so if “they” somewhen decide that the campers are not allowed to use the facilities in the leisure centre I would not recommend this place but otherwise you’re good!

Overall good spot to spend the night.

Lots of parking slots, toilets and even cold shower available. However the toilets are closed during the night. Rooster running around and started being loud at 4 am.

Nice quiet spot to stay the night with YMCA close by for a hot shower for $2.50, toilets close by as well and walking distance from shops and food.

Nice atmosphere with free range chickens and other birds. Felt safe and gates get closed at 2100. However, I don't think it's regulated with almost 20 campervans and people staying multiple nights consecutively.

    Visiting NZ from Ireland.

Great option for free camping in Auckland. Easy to find, space for 10 campers within the designated area but parked elsewhere with no issue. Access to drinking water, toilets, and great shower ($2.50 payable by cash/card) in leisure centre. Busy from 6-9pm but quiet after 9pm. Complimentary wake-up call from the resident rooster at 06:30 :)

    Really great spot in Auckland.

The parking is big and there is lots of space for everyone. The toilets are clean and open all the time, you can use the showers from the sport centre which is amazing (costs 2,5$) and the water from the fountain tests great (we had really bad experiences). It's a bit far away from the city centre but there is a direct bus stop just 2 minutes from the parking.

Must be the best freedom campingground I have been to so far and it‘s been quite a lot!

Very quite big parking lot with heaps of even space for sc campervans, clean toilets a min away, water fountain next to it and warm showers available at the gym for $2.50. only reason it‘s not 10/10 is that the toilets get locked at night, but that‘s the fact for most of them :)

Easy place to stay in Auckland.

Toilets nearby with drinking water. Plenty of parking spaces. Way more than ten vehicles parked overnight but I didn’t see anyone get evictees or fined. It’s not obvious which are the official freedom camping bays. Early alarm call from the wild cockerels crowing at 04:00.

*There is a lot of ducks and roaster, they will maybe decide to wake you up early in the morning!!

Good spot, safe and with clean toilet

There was at least seven others campers

There is a park just in front and there is restaurants (KFC, Wendy’s, Pizza Hut) and a countdown (super market) in a walking distance (less than 1km)

Brilliant spot considering how close to town it is.

Shower in ymca there for $2.50 and public toilets just by the rugby field.

It says 1 night stay but I stayed for a week while I sorted some stuff in town. Best in town spot I’ve found.

Nice big carpark right next to the park with decent toilets nearby.

It was busy when I got here at 6ish but then most people cleared out by 9 and there were only half a dozen or so other vans here overnight so it felt pretty quiet. Despite being in the city it wasn't really loud or bright at night. Got woken up by roosters at about 4am though, and from then on the little bastards wouldn't shut up...

No Security guide or anything. We also saw non Self contained vans.

Car park for a leisure centre and sports fields.

There are toilet blocks in the part and they seem to let people use the showers in the centre. Felt safe as there were other freedom campers around. A bit noisy in the morning.

Nice big parking area surrounded by lovely park.

Cute chickens with chicks and some ducks. Shady areas with trees.

Security guard drove around honking his horn and shining his high beams in our windows around 10pm which was annoying but he said we were fine to stay and that the gate would be locked until 5am.

Seemed safe, had easily accessible toilets with drinking water station, only one other van the night we stayed.
