  • Its nice, cute little ducks everywhere, toilets are okay and cold showers are avaible.

Its a good spot, quiet, not too busy and the people are chill. Would recommend

  • I liked this camping spot.

A lot of space, toilets nearby and you can use public showers for 5$. You can hear rooster crow in the morning but it wasn’t that bad. The crow started at 6am and stopped in 15min. Use earplugs and you will be alright 😊

  • It was over crowded when we went.

Lots of people outside the rules and a fair few people were spoken to by the ranger in the morning - the rules are regulated and those outside the rules notified/fined. Public toilets are pretty dirty there. Open fields ok for playing ball/ frisbee on. Traffic at nearby roundabout is really bad at peak hour. Don't try going after 5pm.

  • We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed this place.

Nothing special, just a parking lot but near a beautiful park, so it was quiet regarding car noise. Next to it was also a good visited sports field and a leisure/ gym center, in where we used the toilets. These were clean and there were showers available also. But the real “camper” toilets were outside… Horrifying. I could not and will never use them. Dirty, divided into its single parts… so if “they” somewhen decide that the campers are not allowed to use the facilities in the leisure centre I would not recommend this place but otherwise you’re good!

  • Good spot, the ymca centre charges $5 each for hot showers now though.

Must have put up their prices

  • Nice place (a bit crowded), no public toilets nearby.

You can use the leisure centre facilities for $5!

  • Overall good spot to spend the night.

Lots of parking slots, toilets and even cold shower available. However the toilets are closed during the night. Rooster running around and started being loud at 4 am.

  • Nice quiet spot to stay the night with YMCA close by for a hot shower for $2.50, toilets close by as well and walking distance from shops and food.

Nice atmosphere with free range chickens and other birds. Felt safe and gates get closed at 2100. However, I don't think it's regulated with almost 20 campervans and people staying multiple nights consecutively.

  • Visiting NZ from Ireland.

Great option for free camping in Auckland. Easy to find, space for 10 campers within the designated area but parked elsewhere with no issue. Access to drinking water, toilets, and great shower ($2.50 payable by cash/card) in leisure centre. Busy from 6-9pm but quiet after 9pm. Complimentary wake-up call from the resident rooster at 06:30 :)

  • Really great spot in Auckland.

The parking is big and there is lots of space for everyone. The toilets are clean and open all the time, you can use the showers from the sport centre which is amazing (costs 2,5$) and the water from the fountain tests great (we had really bad experiences). It's a bit far away from the city centre but there is a direct bus stop just 2 minutes from the parking.

  • Clean and really quiet.

Toilets are provided. Hot showers for a fee of $2,50 and free drinking water supplied in the sports center. Loved it here!

  • Our favorite spot in Auckland, cero noisy, full of little animals, public toilets.

    Perfect place.

  • Must be the best freedom campingground I have been to so far and it‘s been quite a lot!

Very quite big parking lot with heaps of even space for sc campervans, clean toilets a min away, water fountain next to it and warm showers available at the gym for $2.50. only reason it‘s not 10/10 is that the toilets get locked at night, but that‘s the fact for most of them :)

  • Easy place to stay in Auckland.

Toilets nearby with drinking water. Plenty of parking spaces. Way more than ten vehicles parked overnight but I didn’t see anyone get evictees or fined. It’s not obvious which are the official freedom camping bays. Early alarm call from the wild cockerels crowing at 04:00.

  • *There is a lot of ducks and roaster, they will maybe decide to wake you up early in the morning!!

Good spot, safe and with clean toilet

There was at least seven others campers

There is a park just in front and there is restaurants (KFC, Wendy’s, Pizza Hut) and a countdown (super market) in a walking distance (less than 1km)

  • Quiet location.

Many vans staying there with us. The toilet we used was ok, not particularly clean (I'm not sure of opening hours). Good freedom camping spot for the city.
