Due to its location and nice staff, this campsite scores a 6.
Showers operated with keycards did not perform as expected and water was cold.

Although only a parking lot, facilities are very clean and location is walking distance from the CBD!

The glacier was nowhere to be seen, but very beautiful surroundings with falls and forest.

Due to heavy rain (April), we were not able to see the reflection in the Lake.
But area around the lake is nice.

Although way overpriced, facilities are great and it is a good hub for Stewart Island.

This area is worth the visit, stunning views.

Gillespies Beach Campsite
Beautiful black beach nearby.
Many noisy backpackers around and very crowded. Narrow road towards the site was a challenge with a camper van.
