a grand place in a wonderfull landscape and an excellent starting point for a great trail to the cape (14 km return).
The only campground at our journey through NZ (South and North Island) we stayed for 2 nights (12 NZD for 2 P.)

a great place, but in the night a man told us in a pretty rude way, that there would be no allowance for freedom camping and that the site would not be safe because of gangs.

pretty location at the lake, spaceous grounds, dump station, friendly and helpful staff, 34 NZD (2 P.)

Euro Campers
Very good vehicle (Eco de luxe 5), no problems, only the display for the cassette did not work (from the beginning).
The diesel heater was helpful, as was relatively cool in the South Island at night (first half of April).
The fuel consumption was at 5700 kilometers (around 20 h and heating) at 12.7 l / 100 km.
The introduction into the vehicle was sufficient (Christchurch), returning quickly and easily. I recommend this rental company.
