then a 4th person joined) but still able to navigate parking lots. Very reliable.
Wait time picking up van in Auckland could use some improvement. Drop off in Christchurch better.

This was perfect for us...facilities clean, layout was fine for us.
of course would have been nice to be closer to town but I think they were the closest holiday park we could find.

Rapahoe Beach Holiday Park
Best equipped kitchen of any park we stayed.
We were 5 meters from the beach...what a stunning sunset and beautiful stones...walk to point and see the seals. But, bring some bug spray to repel the sand flies.
Place did have a hippie feel and we really liked that.
Signs were not obnoxious...just enforcing the cleanliness required for other campers.

Best value on waterfront...simple, historical 90 minute tour of Franktown arm of lake.
Really enjoyed the captain.

Queenstown Holiday Park Creeksyde
We stayed during Peak Chinese New Year...so it was crowded and facilities stretched next to our site (R)...but i went over to the main building and found plenty of room.
The old mechanical decorations were are really nice touch...I found myself playing with the valves.
Location, Location, Location - could not have been better.
Really easy refund for 2 days when we went from 4 to 3 folks in our site. thank you!
Only downside - water pressure too high for the sinks - the water splashed all over floor if not careful.

Smiths Farm Holiday Park
Absolutely loved our time here.
The treats for the sheep were a real bonus. Facilities really clean, hosts very helpful. The other campers were also really friendly to us...great conversations at meal time. You have to make the hike to the waterfall.

Wellington Waterfront Motorhome Park
Exactly as advertised, a parking lot in downtown - which is what we wanted...right in the middle of the action on the waterfront and feet from the ferry.
We loved it. The bathrooms were clean and hosts were friendly. allowed late checkout so we didn't have to find parking before ferry check in.
Too bad it will be shut down within a year...hope another place close to city can be found.
