Nice walk through the forest, if there is less water in the river you can go to the edge of the falls which are around 50m high - an amazing experience!

Jet boat is cool, nice guide and interesting facts, for inexperienced canoe drivers the rapids might be scary, a bit too expensive.

Nice walk along the coast.
We have never seen such huge waves before - very impressive; although we just saw 3 seals (it was not the season, May to August), we could go very close to them to take some funny pictures. :-)

Cheapest way to see the Maori carvings on Lake Taupo, free drink included.
Very relaxing swim in the lake also possible, just a small number of people on the boat.

Nice walk along the coast, you see thousands of big birds to which you can get very close.
Best time in December when they have babies.
