  • Large grassy area with lots of space to park.

Has Potable water and dumping station right beside.

  • A great backup spot if the nearby Paku Drive location is full.

The toilets are at the Paku Drive location, about a 5 min walk away. But there's a dump station and potable water tap at this spot, which is excellent!

  • No freedom camping sign, but we stayed the night anyway.

Dump station was at the same spot.

There was another tap but no sign if it was drinkable.

  • Campsite located on a not very busy street.

About ten vehicles can be accommodated here. There is a fresh water station, a trash can and a gray water pit.

The toilet is about 5 minutes away. However, I would recommend using the toilets in the city centre. These are much more well-kept.

  • You can park on the grass, but the sign says only two are allowed to camp there.

Quite at night, decent spot, except it does not have toilets… probably a 4-5 min walk

  • Not a bad spot if the other two in town are full.

Lots of space for vans. I arrived around 5PM and there was still plenty of room. Not the most scenic location, but it’s fine. The toilets are about a 6 minute walk away. Tairua is a super cute town to visit. Feels safe.

  • Not a bad option if Paku Drive down the road is full.

Not really any outlook except the houses across the road, and the dump station also situated here. The ground feels a bit boggy in the rain so be wary of getting yourself stuck
