  • Lovely looking spot.

We were unable to stay because there is no summer camping between 4th weekend of October (Labour Day weekend) and Easter. Right on the water and grass park and playground close by.

  • Great spot..

but we got a $400 ticket from WBoP council for not parking in the allocated parking spots by the water, even though the carpark was empty.

  • No longer freedom camping spot

  • The only reason I give it a 9 is because people came around 1am drinking and playing music then beeping their horn continuously before speeding off.

Other than that it's a beautiful spot right next to the water. Pipis cockles playground toilet 👌

  • Nice place, toilet closed at night (don't know when though), playground, some cars with music during the evening but normal for a saturday night but it's free!

Do not rate free camps as you would do for a paid one...

I think it's an ok place to stay as it is located right on a pipi and cockle bed. Free seafood is always a bonus, giving you something to do before bed. Very quiet and safe place.

  • OK for a one night stopover, but nothing special.

    Toilets, playground and BBQ nearby.
