The Kaituna River is a genuinely good rafting spot. Fourteen rapids through native bush and gorges, and right in the middle of it all, you drop over Tutea Falls, a 7 metre waterfall that happens to be the highest commercially rafted one on the planet. It's a short trip by some measures, maybe an hour and a half on the water, and a handful of reviewers note that. But most people come off it pretty stoked.
The guides are where this outfit really earns its reputation. Across a lot of reviews, it's the staff that get the most praise. They're described as skilled, relaxed, and good value as humans. They also weave in cultural stories of the awa as you go, which adds something beyond just the rapids. There are bonus bits too, like jumping from a cliff into the water, or getting pushed face-first into a small fall, which keeps things interesting beyond just sitting in the raft.

The staff are friendly and relaxed. It is a bit exhausting but is worth it, absolutely. The best moment was where we rode down the 7 metre waterfall. Must do for everyone who loves to get an adrenalin rush.

Quite some money you have to spend for an hour on the water, but 100% worth it.
We were thrilled by the idea of going down a 7.5m waterfall in a boat, but the guides took real good care so we felt safe all the time. Big fun.

Well worth the money.
Very fun one hour long experience that includes the highest commercially rafted waterfall. Competent and fun guides, you play around in the rapids etc.
