  • Solid West Coast stop.

Good facilities: clean kitchen, clean bathrooms, dump station and fresh water — full van reset mode unlocked. There’s even a playground.

Only catch: with a big van you’re automatically put on a powered site (surprise at reception), and those are pretty tight.

Close-ish to the main road, but fine. The nearest pub sadly isn’t walkable — you’ll need to drive. Tragic.

    8/10 practical comfort stop. 🚐🍺

  • A campsite that has the necessities even if basic.

Lovely site with friendly hosts. Jackson’s Bay is a must, so beautiful and you can do a short walk through the forest at the end of the road. It brings you out at a very pretty bay. Also a walk up the hill from the campsite gives great views.

  • Nice little site on the road just after the township.

Pretty quiet, nice gravel powered sites. Bathrooms were heated which is nice but only 2 toilets and showers!

Nice surrounding views. Just loses a mark for being $40 for solo traveller with small van, expensive in comparison to most other places.

  • Booked here as a stop off after the copland hike, Great facilities: big well stocked kitchen area, wonderfully warm clean showers, a separate lounge/TV games room area open all night with lovely mountain

backdrop. Paid $40 for 2 adults in a non powered site. Reception very friendly, not many people around as it's winter but big capacity so probably gets busy in the summer.

  • We got there late and it was raining hard!!

Huge Quonset hut common area, clean and hot showers and bathroom. The management was kind enough to come around the next morning and tell us that the road north was closed and we probably had 10 minutes before the road south would be closed due to rain. So we could either leave right now or stay for 5 days. We left and were grateful for the warning.

  • Pretty cool looking place.

Kitchen a bit beaten up, though (with all symbols on the oven worn away) and road quite noisy. Wouldn’t stay for more than a day. But acceptable for a night.

  • Lovely holiday park with very good and clean facilities.

Free hot showers with good water pressure. Best was the games room next to the TV room. Every sort of game you could imagine from oversized draughts (checkers), a pool table, jigsaws and lots of board games. Free WiFi and within cellphone coverage area. There were also motel rooms on site.

  • Lovely place.

The remodeled farm houses are very cute and it's nice to have a high ceiling. Late check in was no problem and the staff was very forthcoming in the morning as well. Unfortunately some guests didn't clean up after themselves, but that is not the campsite's fault. Kitchen was extremely well equipped and the showers were nice.
