Owner of campground also owns other campground at lake. Other campground rented to 100 teens celebrating all night long with very loud music hearable all over the lake even inside motorhome with ear protection. Did not inform guests about this fact. Very unfair. Never again

We loved our time at Kai Iwi Lakes- spectacular views and the lake was amazing to swim in. Would definitely recommend adding this to your itinerary! Make sure you bring insect repellent though!!
Spectacular camping spot. Beautiful lake side location. Clean flush toilets and showers. ($2 for a warm shower or free cold showers) $15 pp non-powered site. Simply lovely, great spot to swim or kayak. Maybe a bit more expensive than others with similar facilities but happy to pay it for the location.
For $40 you'd expect something, even the hot showers are $2, great views and beach though.
Hot showers $2, powered sites and paid wifi. Large site right by lake with sandy beach but only 3 showers! Queues in the evening. Wonderful lakeside walks and great for all water sports. Typical Kiwi holiday site - lots of friendly locals!
We pitched the tent for one night ($20 for two people). Flush toilets, hot showers and wifi. Easy access, no gravel road. The place is quiet and there are walks around the lakes.
Awesome site, close to lake and good clean amenities. Friendly and helpful staff.
Could do with a few more toilets on the outer edge of the campground.
