An alpine walk to stunning Lake Angelus which makes a fantastic round trip. Make sure you time the Mt Robert ridge route for a nice day. The walk generally takes 2 days but it can take 3 if you choose Speargrass as one of your routes.

Two day track, awesome but more demanding than other walks. Cosy, beautiful hut. A great experience.
More difficult that we were initially advised. Going there was tough - walk back was more enjoyable. Beautiful hut location.
Two day hike with the Lake Angelus at 1600m. I used Robert Ridge route to go up and Speargrass Route to come back which was a good choice. A very pleasant two day walk.

After a long walk, you will arrive at one of the most beautiful views we have ever seen. The only word to describe it is 'magic'!

I did the track at Nelson Lakes for a second time. But this time a short version of three days. Beautiful track, good fun with climbing along the rocks and nice huts too. Love it!
This is an amazing, precious environment...enjoy but please use the toilets or if you can't dig a good hole and make sure you bury your toilet paper and waste deep enough or better still carry a small, lightweight shovel. It has recently been in the news about toilet paper blowing around up around Lake Angelus...not nice. Protect/Respect the natural beauty well into the future!!
We did the Robert Ridge Track to the Angelus Hut. It was quite a hard hike but the view was stunning.
Awesome place, can be done as a two day or three day hike.
Amazing, amazing view but too many sandflies.
Stunning views and a fantastic alpine hut, not to mention the awesome hut warden!
A very nice trek. We did it in 1 day from the car park to angelus hut and back. A nice and easy 6h walk with stunning views.
The first day, we walking on Mount Robert, and it was amazing but on day 2 we had to walk in the river, in mud and bush.
Walk from St Arnaud to carpark @ Robert Hill boring, but then amazing! Views from Mt Robert ridge and Lake Angelus hut - beautiful nature!
