This is a great site adjacent to the river complete with a large outdoor seating area and natural plunge pool. We nearly went to another site but glad we didn’t as the hosts here were super friendly and the amenities although a bit out dated were both serviceable and clean. A reasonable price of $36 provided a powered pitch and the showers were hot although they were on a meter of $2. Overall a good site.

My favorite campground! Facilities very clean, plenty of space, full equipped kitchen. Wonderful view of the river from the launch. Waterhole in the river to swim ... and quiet.
It's busy down at the river, you stand close by the next campervan but it doesn't matter. The owner is so very friendly and helpful. It was a pleaseant stay.

Very nice, spacious and friendly place, beautiful and directly situated at the river side, close to a nice town with nice café's and great pizza. Facilities are nice and clean, cheap laundry facilities, and a family shower was available. The playground was nice too, though a bit far from the main camp site. But we could have picked a spot closer to the playground :-). Very funny owner/host.

Huge campground, you can choose between down by the river (busier) or up at the top which is less busy but near the road.
River is good for swimming, there are all sorts of facilities including a nice deck overlooking the river, showers (paid), an aviary, cheeky ducks and Weka, and of course sandflies.
Owner super friendly and helpful, great value for money ($25 for 2 people).

Beautiful natural surroundings on riverside. Quiet and relaxing. Good sized pitches. We stayed powered plot by riverside which was lovely.
Lovely riverside walk. Not far from Murchison Town. Free use of some cycles at site. River swim pool didn’t make use of but looked lovely. Kids playing at riverside.
Owner very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend and would return

This campsite was beautiful with everything you need. The owners were so happy and friendly. Clean toilets and hot showers and a deck off the kitchen area overlooking the stunning river. There is a little aviary around the back that the kids loved and bikes that older kids could borrow for around the campsite

Great place to stay! A very nice view of the river from the kitchen where you can sit outside and the very nice man at the reception is awesome! He helps us with booking rafting, gave us good tips and you can borough there a golf bag. You have to stop here, really!

Unpowered spot for my campervan right on the river where i could watch a kayak class happening. Powered sites are slightly off the river and on level gravel. Laundry $2 each for washer and dryer, and both worked very well. $2 for a shower that is hot! Walkable to Murchison or they have bikes you can borrow to ride the path in. A couple of kitchen facilities, one with a deck and river views (cold front coming in so I did not avail myself of this feature but in the summer it would be great). Free wifi though they ask you not to stream since it is shared with everyone. Good location and facilities for the money.

$25 for two people unpowered site, the best campsite in the South Island without exaggeration! The owners are so nice and show you around their amazing campsite. Huge very clean kitchen area to cook with large covered deck area to sit and eat looking over the view of the river. Toilets and hot showers are incredibly clean, like they look brand new!! Also a lounge with tv a hundred DVDs and Sky sports and other channels! Loads space for campers with designated fire places! Swimming hole as well. Just an all round amazing place for so cheap, so we decided to stay an extra night!
